It's got a few little blemishes but it's 10 years old so what can you expect. Only had it a week (well the other half has) so plenty to still do and a couple of bits of paint to be done but essentially it's a good'un. Shines up nicely. :)
Well it was only right that I give the other half's newly acquired SL350 a proper going over. It's in good condition but needed to look better.
Incidentally this was the first time I've used my DA in anger and actually polished a car's bodywork in it's entirety. Process went as follows...
Gave my E320 a quick once over yesterday. Had the car a couple of months now and so far given it a hand polish (Super Resin) and has a couple of coats of Collinite 845. Yesterday was just given some Valet Pro Citrus Pre-Wash to get things shifting, then washed with the usual two buckets...
Thought I'd pop up a tiny update on the CLS. I thought a private plate would set the care off nicely, the styling of the car has aged very well so a plate would look cool and disguise it's years.
Now I already have X666 ALX on my Megane 225 and my little girl is Roxie so thought this worked -...
I suppose what you have to consider with any hot hatch is its effectively a modified version of a normal car. So it's compromised in some ways.
The Clio RS' has always been about being focused on driving quick so driving them slow can feel a bit tiresome. I used to commute in my first 172 and...
That's the problem, for the money you can get something newer and built to be faster as standard, not what is effectively a modified car! I'm pretty sure you could tune my engine to produce similar power for a lot less than that haha.
Are Motorhub bad? I don't know anything about them.
Similar mileage to mine but a mere 250bhp more!! Haha
Think I'd rather stick with mine and tune it to 750bhp and save myself £60k. Immense car though.
I thought the depreciation had been steep on mine!
I'm totally with you on that, going back to a revvy turbo engine would be weird now. Which is odd as I've only done about 100 miles so far haha. You're absolutely right about having nothing to prove, not that I ever drove like that but in the Megane I'd shoot off and drove in a more 'nippy'...
That's with Esure mate, came in at £309 as a new quote but £348 adding it onto my current policy I had on the Megane 225.
No idea why it's cheaper though, you'd think with it's capabilities it'd be more risk but they're rare cars and as we established not normally owned by "youfs" like me haha.
Uh-oh!! I suppose a tattoo'd heavy metal fan is not the stereotype for this car than. Although I'm 33 now so 'grown up' supposedly! haha
For what it is, yes it's an absolute bargain. I worked out that in depreciation alone it's cost about £3.50 a mile!!
I bought it from my friend's father in...
Well I've only got one little'un at the moment and although she doesn't live with me I have her regularly. That said she fitted well in the Megane, plus my Mrs has a 2013 Focus which has tonnes of space anyway.
Having said that it is quite nice having a bigger car. It's how people react to it...
