Good day fellows My dear good old engine ( 1.2 D4F ) by now has done 220K :eek: ....knocking and hesitation increased in the past few months and oil is all over the engine.....power is on it's way down :dead: I'm thinking of buying a second hand block and head of the same engine Any advise...

Good day to you all A friend has a 1.2 8v clio ( year 2000 )and when he parks in the sun for a long period of time the car just doesn't start.......he has to remove the computer's plug besides the air filter many times and then it starts :S when parked in the garage or a tented place the car...

Checking the engine this morning and found I guess a sensor hooked in the air :eek: behind the clyinder head on the left and by checking it I found that it some how was exposed to very high temp. leading it to melt......the part no. written on it is 7700876108 here are a few pics It's a D4F...
