I'd go with rear discs with the bearings already in place, so much easier than trying to press a bearing in etc. Fronts and rears I would go with Brembo which are a decent brand and good value, if you go too cheap on the rear the bearings will be rubbish. Just remember to put the spacer/washer...

Yeah I expect both front wheels locked and engine stalled, it would have just bumped started it self when the wheels started rotating again.
