I know, god knows why they put it on top of the engine, apart from lack of space. I think the mongoose is supposed to be a lot better than the janspeed one. Most of the power is gained because the standard manifold and flexi is not wide enough.
Shaun> Yes they look similar on the outside but...
OK, I've migrated from a Clio and bought an ST because of the crap build quality of the clio. Within 2 and a half years I had a new gearbox, clutch, 2 sunroof handles, 2 rotary switches, 2 ignition coils, drive train seal, new battery and god knows what else. Everything rattled including the...
Mine would not start once. It was the battery that was dead..only 1 amp left in it. Got AA out and they replaced it. It makes me wonder if the monkeys at the reno garage swopped it. You can test the immobiliser by putting tin foil around the key before starting it so that it blocks it from...
Thants a good price. It was just a standard 182, no added bits or anything. Just concerned about cost of insurance and most of all - Build quality as my currently clio has had a lot of problems from new.

Thats very cheap, is it an import?

Whats the lowest everyones got a standard 182 for? Theres a black unregistered UK 182 at my local Reno dealer for £10,995 and wondered what price everyone else was getting. Unfortunantly with it being black it will look dynamiqueish. Still quite a good price though.

Well, 1.2 Clios are nippy and faster to other 1.2s out there!
Some idiots think that if a car is 1.4 is it faster than a 1.2 16v, but alot of cars are 1.2 8v and only push like 60-65 BHP. Get smoking those Puntos and Polos from the lights ;)...

Cliopower - hell have a hard job to check his spare tyre in a 182 - they dont have one! ;)D.
oh yeah! Tyre foam then :)
You should pussy-foot your engine too much when it is new or it will go slower. Also the rev limiter will kick in on lower RPM when the engine is cold.
