Slicks will put extra stress on the car as mentioned, though unless the water is standing on the track you should be ok if it rains. I've done many many laps in the wet with them on the M3.
It will be cheaper to run a cooling duct to the brakes than change the wheels, unless this is a little man maths justification. I did this to another car of mine thats quite heavy and it made a noticable difference.

Hi,
Am i right in thinking that the 172 ph2 fuel pump/ filter (in tank) is one unit as opposed to the ph1 with the external filter?
If so, or not the case, what is the reliability of the pumps in general? The car has 67k '02.
Again price wise to replace, is it worth a direct replacement...

Cheers
Hi,
Had the system recharged and when the AC is on now it only pushes out hot air, any ideas?
For reference the system was completely empty as a hose was split when I bought it, so have no idea what it was like previously.
regards
Some tracks/ organisers will insist on a cage if running slicks, so be aware. We had this issue arise a few years ago with the M3 track car that was taken too the track half way through being converted. And like others have said, bushes take a lot more abuse.
