    Help ! Which Inlet ??

172 ph1, ph2 and 182 should all be the same even the bolt spacing iirc. The upper inlet part is where it differs between 172 and 182. You might find a small difference in tolerance on the middle picture on the upper most right bole as your picture is taken. There is a difference in quality of...

Onboard Video: Bonnet Flips and smashes screen @ 100mph/160kph

racing looks a bit rough, nice though! march 2010 on the way to Val Thorens my mate didn't shut the bonnet good after pis(s)tstop and fluids refill. Entering the fastlane the bonnet came up...scared the s**t out of me, especially when my mate decided to slow down on the fast lane. S**ker! I...

    Almost a vee

It's a bodykitted AND facelifted ph1 172 by the looks of it. And that engine is NO way a 1600...it a 2.0 16v lump. Would love to have a super 1600 incl that engine. (that super 1600 engine that is)

Could throttle response on a Ph2 be made to match a Ph1 ?

A remap resolves some of the lag of the FBW trottle of a PH2. Henk (FastChip) can alter the ratio between gas pedal and throttle body valve. He did mine once as an expirement and you could notice some difference. Don't know if he looked further into that after he did mine.

    machining inlet

Ports are 50x30 if I remember correctly. Basicly draw two circles of 30mm diameter 20mm apart and you have a perfect match. (almost) The gasket port size is at least 1mm bigger than the ports size on the head. Edit: saying this Ps. good luck

    Spraying steeringwheel thumbpads

Thanks guys! Will give a day or two and see what the cured laquer looks like. 90% of the runners are on the back side, so not visible once mounted on the steering wheel. If it's any good I flat it out with some P1500/2000 and put on an other coat of the clear laquer. If it's not any good...

    Spraying steeringwheel thumbpads

Here's my go at spraying the K-tec thumbpads I received a few weeks ago. Items used: P360, P500, P1000 grit grinding paper Plastic filling primer Base color (metallic) (carspray teoflux) Clear Laquer (carspray) First started with a smooth going over P360 and sprayed on the Primer. Smooth...

    Running in a new engine

I guess it all depends on how different the engine is, and how much money you spend on it already. 1 & 2 have a bit of risk in it. 3 you pay the money as you said, however it will most likely good controlled while running in. (+ it isn't yet build in your car. + you get actual power figures)...

    Clio 172 facelift satnav problem

The beeping is a fault code I guess. Try the dealer to get some error searching schematics....or try the manual, of the nav, there should be some error recognisation mentioned in it. PM me if you still have problems. I've heard about some frozen navs, which can occur if the system is...

    172 block differences

The head of the Ph1 and Ph2 differ IRC. The exhaust ports on the Ph1 are bigger then the Ph2? Compression wise the blocks are the same I think. However I can not imagine an Espace engine have the same compression as the F4R (730/736) engines. Bore and travel of the Ph1 and Ph2 engines are...
