Mork - yep, it sure did, but nearer 220kgs than 300 I think. That's still two 16 stone blokes sat in the back though...
OK, thought it was worth asking
Had a 172 cup for 3 years until 2006. Early on in its life (when it had done about 5k miles I think) I changed the springs to Eibach sportlines and put the original cup springs in the garage. I've now returned to Clio ownership (after a 156 GTA and a Twingo GT) and have a non-cupped 197 which...
Last active 2003 to 2006 when I had my 172 Cup with white speedlines (DE52 YJW) which I still see around Wrexham. Back now with an albi blue 197, and very happy.
Cheers Yozza, but not me anymore. I part-ex'd it for an Alfa 156 GTA back in February. I've seen it around a couple of times, but not for a few months, so I'm pleased to hear it's still safe and well.
Good to hear my old one's been spotted around and about - I've only seen it twice since I traded it in for the Alfa back in Feb this year. Defo mine if white turinis and the twin magnex.
I've just had a test drive too - I'm missing my old Cup (which I had for three years until Feb this year) and getting a bit too used to the GTA.
The car I drove was Speed Six's demonstrator in Wrexham. It had only 310 miles and was only 3 weeks old. That might go a long way to explain why it...
Mine went twice on the 172 Cup - first at about 12 months, then again about 2 months before it hit 3 years old. Both times my renault delaer (speed six in Wrexham) replaced the steering wheel without question. Fault was the same both times - rubber thumb grip splitting.
Cheers
Just saw you again, by Pandy/Llay - this time I wound down my window and mouthed at you - frankly, you looked scared, and I'm concerned that I'm behaving more like a stalker than the fairly normal human being that I really am.
At last - I've seen my old car! Looked good and shiney. I flashed like mad, but got no reaction - not surprising I guess considering I'm no longer driving a Clio. Let me know if you need any background info on the car - it's a cracker.
Cheers,
Gary
I know, I need help. Today I parked next to a trophy, saw two black 182s, a silver 172 and a blue 172 Cup that...well...wasn't mine...
It's like someone's just trying to rub it in :-(
