I've just fitted Green Stuff pads all round, from Demon Tweeks. They've much more bite than Renault pads from new, we'll see how they hold up over time. Pads usually harden with use and are less effective from cold.
Both mine went on my 54 plate car, one after 15k, the other after 20k. Replaced grudgingly under warranty.
This is the only problem I've had though (from new).
My 15 month 15k 182 (non cup) had a rear damper fail around Christmas.
It was bottoming out, well before it should, with a hard bang. No oil leak though. Renault changed it under warranty.
Now 3 months and 4k further, the other one has failed, losing it's oil and rattling away. The dealer...
Pads seem to harden with use so older pads (even with plenty plenty of pad left) work less well from cold (the backs take longer to warm up and can be hardly working even when ABS cuts in at the front).
The more you cook pads to warm them up the harder they become and more they need heating...
They're constrained by emission limits, not just the simple ones tested at the MOT, but much tighter limits over the whole rev range and accelerating and decelerating. These can compromise both performance and economy.
Likes: Performance, looks, compact size, agility, throttle response, zenons, Arctic Blue. No problem with high seat, I like it.
Dislikes: Auto wipers, steering wheel and gear lever to far forward, no road feel through steering. Seat too flat, not enough support under thighs.

Had a 93 Clio 1.4 for 7 years and 110000 miles with very few problems. Had my 182 13 months and 15000 miles without problems.
