I've found most places just make up a price. I got it all done, then had to have the manifold repaired then the front shocks replaced. These cars are money pits if nothing else! As for full service history I've got paint falling off as it has definitely been involved in an accident at some...
Cheers pal,
I had it up on ramps yesterday and you guessed it one of the bolts was sheared off completely. I've managed to repair this and just need to source some t20 screws for the back.
Hi, just one more thing to add to the list of repairs is my rear diffuser. It's currently held on by one bolt! Only noticed this morning and can't believe I was sold it in this state!
The question is which/what screws I need for the rear (currently none fitted) and hopefully after I get it on...
Cheers pal, in the meantime this won't be doing too much damage?
Also does anyone know the best place to get the lower ball joints done for the front of the car, they appear to be knocking also?
Hi guys,
My 200 just carm back from the garage after having the flexi's repaired and new engine mounts. However when changing gear I get a knocking sound coming from what sounds like the drivers side. Would this be the exhaust possibly hitting the subframe or the engine mounts not being...
I have looked at the KTec manifold but first I want to see what the garage will do. Since buying it I'm a little disappointed with the car. It has a few problems and on closer inspection has had both rear quarters re-sprayed badly with rust coming through on the inside of one arch. Again im...
Every day would be pushing it. :tonguewink:
Just going there for the month then back. Well fingers crossed, all depends on if the exhaust gets fixed in time? :spanner::coldsweat:
No it's off to Micks for the timing belt and service. Still waiting to hear from the garage I bought it off, however their customer service is laughable. I need to use the vehicle next Mon to get me to Belgium for work.
I'm unsure as whenever I search for an oem manifold it just gives me aftermarket parts. Fingers crossed it will get sorted. I have the car with Mick from Diamond motors on Tue so I'll have to be noisey until after that!
I'm currently waiting to hear back from their customer services. The question is do I get them to replace the whole manifold or just replace the flexi's?
Hi,
As some are already aware I purchased a 200 RS last month. I was aware that the garage that sold it had to repair the exhaust before selling it to me (I heard the vehicle running and it was blowing spectacularly). I collected it later that week after being assured it was fixed.
I then...
Well I'm booked in with Mick now, it's a bit of a drive to get it done (approx 2 1/2 hours) but as my local Renault garage quoted me £1250 :fearscream: I thought I'd go with the recommendations given. 😅
