    *Urgent Help Needed*

Right, decided i will give it another go later. I'll try and slide that bar out. I assume the bold will be accessible then? Once the 2 bolts are off will the caliper come off? Or will i need to mess about with the piston? If so, could someone please be very helpful and explain in layman's...

    *Urgent Help Needed*

Couldn't get it out mate. Haven't really got a clue what i'm doing so going to leave it. Its going for a service tomorrow so will ask them how much they'll charge to swap them. If they take the piss i'm sure someone i know would have a better idea than me. Cheers.

    Brake Kwik Fit quote

Interesting. Don't really care about that though as car is going in a month. Hows the VXR mate?

    Brake Kwik Fit quote

Nice one guys. Like I said, i've got new pads ready to fit now. Will fit them before the service and see what Renault say. I want to keep the cost to a minimum as its a company car (basically leased) and its going back in a month and they'll take me to town if it goes back and needs stuff...

    Brake Kwik Fit quote

No idea. Guy said its not just a straight disk swap on the rear. An extra bearing part was needed, thus pushing up the price.

    Brake Kwik Fit quote

I left my car with Kwik Fit on the weekend to have my brakes checked over since I haven't had them changed since new and haven't had time to get it serviced lately (shes on about 25K now). Anyway, they quoted me £620 for new pads all round and new disks all round including what they described...

Excellent, so thin screwdriver under edge and it should pop off?

    Wing mirror cover removal

Managed to scuff my wing mirror on a wall just now. Rather pissed off. Its only the cover thats a bit scuffed, nothing else. How do you remove the cover? Do the just come off with a screwdriver in the right place, or does the whole mirror need to come off. 182 FF by the way. Cheers, James

    Brake Pad Advice

Cheers. Any way i can easily check how much more of the pad is left? Just worried i'm gonna hear metal on metal soon. Is it easy enough to see if i take the wheel off?

    Brake Pad Advice

Yeah, checked that out earlier. Just want a standard set of pads. Any direction you can point me in? Like i said, i'd rather not get bent over by Renault. Cheers

    Brake Pad Advice

Think i need some new pads. Brakings been feeling a bit dull for a while now and earlier they sounded louder than usual. (They have done nearly 20K miles so I think i've pushed it enough) Where is the best place to go and have them done? Would go to Renault but i probably won't get booked in...
