How many of you have had an air con problem?

I have a 182 and I'm currently about to get a 5th air con condenser fitted, due to stone punctures. I was just wondering how many of you have a similar problem and how common this is. The condenser is fitted right at the front of the car behind the bumper grille and is in the ideal position for...

Exhaust on 182 and rear axle

K-tec sold out of the ones with centre silencer. So I got the Supersports one without centre silencer. He said it would sound a bit rumbly at first, but after a few hundred miles, should settle down and be only a little bit louder than the factory one.

Exhaust on 182 and rear axle

Thanks guys. Just spoke to K-tech as well and yeah you're right, cut the old one to remove and the new one comes in two pieces to slip over the axle. Gonna be ordering my Janspeed 182 Supersport shortly! Any thoughts on this system? What's the benefit of stainless steel btw? And what material...

Exhaust on 182 and rear axle

Just went to Merityre to see how much they would charge to change my exhaust on my 182 (MOT failure) and they said that they cant do it because they would have to take the whole rear axle off! Is this right?! Seems a lot of work to replace an exhaust!!

182 failed MOT on exhaust and load sensing valve linkage

Thanks for the feedback guys. I went to R.Sport outside Wimbledon and they confirmed that the valve in question is the headlight adjuster. All he did was shine a light against the rear wheel and he says he can see the crack, but it's only for the mount of the headlight adjuster valve, and that...

182 failed MOT on exhaust and load sensing valve linkage

Just had an MOT failure on my full fat 182 (2004 plate). Failures are: Rear breake load sensing valve linkage defective and function impaired (3.6.E.3) Rear exhaust has a major leak of exhaust gas (7.1.2) They tell me that the linkage has snapped, and the exhaust has a hole in it (hence the...

Air con condensor and TDC Crank Sensor problems

Hi, having just got my timing belts changed and the 50k service done for a total price of £1000 at a dealer, I've now been told that I need a new TDC Crank Sensor as my car intermittently does not start first thing in the morning. Additionally, my air con is not working and have been advised...

TDC Sensor and engine not starting woes

Hello. My Clio 182 has been having trouble starting recently, the engine fires but does not tick over and start. Normally, it does this first time, but on the second turn of the key, the engine would start. However, this weekend, it would not start at all and had the get the AA out. They...

    PIAA Wipers

Hi, I have a 182 and I need new blades. I've done some research on here and people have said I need 21" blades. But I don't know if I need curved or standard blades. The curved ones are supposedly for "engineered to accommodate aerodynamic windshields found on many of today's European and some...

Jumpy temperature dial on dash board

The temperature dial on my dash board sometimes jumps around when i'm driving around. I've seen this a couple of times now. Most of the time it is stable, slap bang in the middle of the meter. What's causing this? Has something broke? Anyone else experiences this? I have an 04 Clio 182.

    £264.59 for a 24,000 service

I just rang Wilsons Epsom - quoted £399 for a 24k service!!! Where can I go instead around Epsom/Leatherhead? Bearing in mind I think I need an official dealer to keep my warranty intact.

PIAA wipers - too many options!

I want to get some PIAA silcone wipers for my 182 - only I don't know which version to get. The normal version is just a straight blade, the Sporza has a spoiler for high speed wiping (motorways I guess), and then there is the curved one for "some European models". Do I need a curved blade for...
