Hi.
I’ve recently got back into a 197 which has had the rear wiper deleted. Looks nice enough but ideally wanting to take it back to stock and put the wiper back on. I’ve had the rear panel off and the motor has been removed, just a wire of some sort which looks like it will just plug back in...
blatantly not the reply you are looking for but... iv got mine for sale too if your interested, not to far away from Manchester in Cheshire. Link to advert http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2039780.htm
cheers :)
i hope so too stu, definatly not going to let it go until i know exactly what it was and how they fixed it and get my money back if its unrelated.
Oink - the wiring was crap, i could see that from when it was on the ramps. Basically they had cut part of the wire and replaced with a new...
no its totally standard.
payed by debit card unfortunately.
they know how p*ssed off i am, also given someone at Renault UK an ear full but they say any issue is with the dealer and they trust the dealer to repair it to the expected standard, typical corp BS
im not happy no. the car is still with them now.
yeh they did give me a bill with the detail, pretty much 50/50 with parts and labour from memory, dont have it with me now. I just trusted that it had been done as the light wasnt on, misplaced it seems.
Can only wait to see what they come...
Its on all the time.
i had the car on some ramps before i took it (while mulling over the price) and could see one of the wires running parralel to the exhault was corroded. Also couldnt see how far that had got so decided it was best to just let thme do it.
As for the £500 im definatly...
My r27 is in with Stockport, originally took it in for "check emission" light. They said the wiring had been fixed "poorly" so wouldn’t be covered by the warranty (I’m the third owner, pitfalls of buying a used car) and for the honour of fixing to their standard it would be £500. After much...
07 plate, still under warranty so I thought it would just be repaired / replaced under warranty. But they think it’s been repaired before and it’s not on the Renault database so they can't do it under warranty, hence the £500+ quote.
just seems excessive given the car runs perfectly fine...
Hi guys,
The emissions warning light on my 197 has come on. Took the car to the dealer and they found a fault with the oxygen sensor and would need replacing but also the engine loom as it looks like it’s been repaired previously "poorly" in their words.
Car runs perfectly fine but they are...
