I just opened the key to replace its battery before re-synching with the car... the 'charging coil' is loose (which is most likely the problem) - I cant see any other obvious damage... i can't see anything wrong with the transponder either (although there could be some damage I just can't...

ebay dude, check your colour code, it should be on the inside of the door. sometimes halfords have it in too
