So its on 107k or thereabouts, and I've had it for 2 years.
Some maintenance highlights:
Oct 21 Engine mount and Black series insert
May 21 new rear discs, pads and a hard line
April 21 Poly dog bone
Jan 21 new windscreen
Oct 19 new exhaust
Sept 19 new OEM shocks x4 with H&R springs
Issues...
Bit of confirmation required.
Lost drive, and presumed it was a driveshaft.
Pulled the NS one as there was a noise from that side.
On inspection the driveshaft looks ok, but there’s a loose plate rattling around.
Looking at some other threads it looks to me like a Renfort type plate.

Thanks for that, just ordered one from ECP (the ECP part ref is 617745225).
However that option doesn’t come up either with my reg number or when you manually select a 2002 172, so there’s definitely a glitch in their database.
I’ve searched but can’t find an answer.
As I’m replacing the OS driveshaft I thought I’d change the ball joint.
2002 172 Phase 2 needs the m12 bolted version, right till now?
On removing the old one it quickly became obvious the stud that goes into the hub was about 15mm on the old one and 18mm...

I have noise from the front right which include (when you aggressively floor it at lower revs) a knock knock, which you hear and feel through the wheel.
There’s a small amount of play when you push / pull the drive shaft, is that likely to be it??
I only changed it about 10k ago, but...
Trying to replace one of the rear hard lines (chassis to calliper), and for the life of me I can’t get the new line back into the old Flexi.
Just doesn’t want to bite.
I’m guessing the old Flexi thread is corroded, so should probably be fitting a new one at the same time.

The old bush and steel ring is out.
The problem with this one (rather than the Powerflex one) is the large bush is one piece, so you have a lip on each side, so it doesn’t just hand push in from each side.

Had a go yesterday with various ‘pulling methods’ (no not that sort) but no joy.
I think I need to file more of a chamfer on the aluminium housing to start with.
