I've changed the front and rear disc's & pads about a month ago. Yet to check the fluid levers.

Getting a quite squeaking noise coming from front nearside of car when driving at slow speeds over bumps etc, any ideas on the cause? Don’t get any problems when travelling at speed, and unable to get it to make a noise by rocking or pushing up and down on car when parked. Do I need worry...

Never get the problem anywhere else, just on this one corner on the way to work, a sweeping lefthand turn, running at about 50mph and excelerating in the straight.

It's been a busy day for my MK2 172. New Cam & Aux Belts + Kits New Water Pump New De-phaser pulley New Engine undertray fitted Front Disc's & Pads Going to be quite month now, roll on pay day!

eBay was very good for Renault discs & pads, got a set for £110 last week. Dead easy to fit only took 30mins start to finish.

Tell me about it, went in Renault to buy the plastic cover covering the oil filler, had brought the car and it had been missing, they quoted me £46 for a bit of plastic about 4" x 6", bloody joke! Ended up going on eBay and got the whole engine cover for a tenner.

Replaced rear Disc's & Pad's, Oil change, new Spark Plugs, fitted new rubber strip under bonnet, and treated the car to a new air freshener.

Hi, I've just brought a 172, it's still got the orginal factory Renault screen fitted, was wondering if anyone could tell me what the small retangler box at the bottom middle of screen is for? Its about 2" x 4" is size and is a different colour to the rest of the screen. Cheers Michael.

Just completed my first service on the 172, but when I got under the car to remove the sump plug I noticed the bottom engine tray has been damaged. Is there anybody breaking there car and have a tray for sale, or any advice where the best place to get a replacement? Thanks Michael

Fitted new Alpine HU, connected to steering wheel controls, repaired clock display while dash was out. Also my new engine cover arrived today as the last one been damaged, and just received a new set of rear discs & pads, but those will have to wait for a drier day to be fitted.
