Look up/search connects2, connects to CD changer port on stereo. with this you will have full control via the stalk and it will charge. Ipod touch will require additional voltage connector/converter.

On my 197 there is a hole on the r/h/s of the glovebox that feeds to the stereo cavity. There is just room to push the connects2 inside and it just leaves the connector lead trailing into the glovebox.

Mine is tucked inside the dash, out of site (Connects2). If you have the i-pod touch you will need a voltage converter for it to charge.

Was it the Connects2 you saw?. If it is suitable for your h/u it will work depending on your i-pod. For the i-pod touch you need a converter also.
