heli tapes a good idea, but they dont scratch anyway. Theres only one place for a bike and thats on the roof, I use a nice thule carrier with the wind up arm. Takes 20 secs to stick the bike on then your off. I'd never go baack to a rear mount.
Hi. Can I ask, Did renault Cardiff fit the replacement shocks the first time. I'ts just i had 2 new rear shocks from them 6 months ago but my indipendant mechanic fitted them. They're leaking already. Just wondering if theres any kind of warranty on genuine parts that arent fitted be renault?
I've replaced 2 sets of rear shocks on my cup in 18 months so really dont want to buy the renault parts again. Are there any good quality replacement parts for the rear of a cup. Prefferably that wont leak within 6 months.:(
Whats going on with these shocks? I've fitted 2 new sets of rear shocks and ones leaking AGAIN!! How can Renault warrant selling such naff spares.
I came on to ask if theres any other reason they could be leaking. But it seems it's just bad quality parts.

My 172cup just failed mot on brake bias valve. I can't remember why but I've heard something somewhere about this. Or am I imagining it. Is it the case that the back brakes...
Ok Ive had the wheels all refurbed, my bolts are letting them down. I cant seem to find the bolts with a 19mm head. all the ones on ebay or demon tweeks have a 17mm head. I dont want to have to start finding and storing different wheel braces. Does anyone know where i can get the proper 19mm bolts?
My cars away having wheels refurbed. I want to get some nice caps for the rusty ol bolts. What size are they? Can't remember if they're 17 or 19mm.

UPDATE: Ok so I had the RAC chap come out to me and see what he thought. His computer wasnt working very well so all he could do was check a few things things that came to no joy. He towed me to an auto electrician who looked at it this morning. He managed to find the problem. Deep in the loom...
