I think you will find it is a case of diminishing returns on the 1/4 mile regarding power.... Best thing to look at is the terminal speed (traction doesnt alter that really), and it is a good indicator of power to weight. What terminal speed did it hit with a 13.5 run?

But if you have enough power (or a lack of weight in Adams16v case), you can overcome that. Im sure a diesel box is cheap as chips anyway, so you could try it, and if you dont like it bin it!
