Just spoke to my local dealer and they are asking £348.99 (presumably with VAT on top) for just the part!!!
Non OEM kit is coming out at around £200 tops so far...
Thanks for that, reckon I'll pop it into the local garage I'm sourcing the new alternator from then, had a look at the weekend and as you say its a right pig to get too!
GSF have said they don't do one alas, but have a quote of £118+VAT from AlternatorMart.co.uk.
However I spoke to my local Renault place and they said for my VIN there are around half a dozen different possibilities, so I'd need to extract and check the unit number first. They sell from between...
Thanks for the offer, but to be honest I'd be worried about that one going too given the age - reckon I'd be better off with a new one and a longer life-span.
Mine has recently gone taking out my TDC sensor (perhaps just coincidence) and original battery in the process, so time for a new one.
Are there any recommendations for a better replacement or will standard do? GSF do one marked as ">98 with aircon" for £124 that seems ideal - would that do...
Not had a chance to look yet and it's too cold at the moment to go and see!
How easy and the panels to access and remove? Hopefully they are as easy as the fronts, but I don't want to bank on it.
Cabling included? What is the Renault stuff like, the bits I've seen look OK, but not exceptional.
I guess a re-wire might be needed for the front anyway once the OEM cross-overs are ripped out...
My next step is to upgrade the rears speakers, I think to Rainbow SL13s - I was hoping the...
Just fitted the SLC230s
Compared to the rear, the clarity is amazing with all different sorts of music, the rears sound really muddy now in comparison.
The problem is having fitted them it highlights the problems with the OEM kit in the Clio. There is a hiss from the speakers even under low...
Thanks, just trying to decide what to say to the garage who've recently serviced the car.
They fitted new front pads and changed the fluid without asking, I previously had Catrol SRF fluid and DS2500s. The brakes are now run in and not feeling anywhere near as good as they were so it's time to...
Gone for the Rainbow SLC230s for the fronts for now, will see how they go and decide what do for the back. Stick with OEM, cheaper Rainbow (KX130s @ £60) or perhaps even go component at the back...
