clearly i am a bit of a simpleton because i cant find it! i have been told its leaking by a mechanic who wants a load of money to fix it. i have got a part put aside at renault (£63) but have been told by a mate who is a mechanic (but only deals with peugeots) that i might be able to unscrew...

thanks for all the replies. i am a plumber so am fairly hands on but i dont know if i fancy tackling the shocks on my own, even if it is only a couple of nuts. or maybe i should just be brave, i just dont want to risk her having an accident if i do something wrong. she's got no life insurance...

i think the abve prices must include vat because renault have just quoted me £113 all in for the pressure switch and £171 all in for the shocks.

thanks a lot. my 106gti states semi synthetic in the book, a few people have suggested using fully synthetic in it but i'm not sure if its a good idea. the car will be revving to 8k on cams, tb's etc. what do you think i should use in that? (sorry for asking about a peugeot.lol)

just borrowed the gf's car to take for a thrash and the oil is a tad on the low side, nothing major but just needs a top up. i dont have the service book etc. to hand and wondered if they take fully or semi synthetic oil? cheers.
