where is the power steering pressure switch located?

clearly i am a bit of a simpleton because i cant find it! i have been told its leaking by a mechanic who wants a load of money to fix it. i have got a part put aside at renault (£63) but have been told by a mate who is a mechanic (but only deals with peugeots) that i might be able to unscrew...

fair price for repair? powersteering pressure switch and shocks

thanks for all the replies. i am a plumber so am fairly hands on but i dont know if i fancy tackling the shocks on my own, even if it is only a couple of nuts. or maybe i should just be brave, i just dont want to risk her having an accident if i do something wrong. she's got no life insurance...

fair price for repair? powersteering pressure switch and shocks

Optimax, PB Ultimate or Tesco 99

optimax (98RON) has cleaning properties, i didnt think BP ultimate (97RON) did.

Optimax, PB Ultimate or Tesco 99

you need to be mapped on it to see a real gain imo.

    grp N ecu

all i meant is it cant be exactly right, as every engine is different. different bore size exhausts, different air filters and so on (i appreciate they are minor differences). if you were to run a car with cams, headwork and tb's for example, and you created a a map on a standalone ecu for it...

bolting on a different ecu is not the same as a remap.

PGTI - Have you seen it?

lucky- i can see one of the crazy bikers in one pic, there was a fella on a ducatti when we were at the pgti thrash, it was raining and he was hitting 190+mph. nutter! i reckon i was nearly at the redline in 5th halfway down that straight! lol it is a good place just to lark about, you can...

a raised rev limit cant be a bad thing though.lol

    grp N ecu

i'd rather spend £600 and do it properly then cough up over £300 for what is in my eyes a bit of a bodge. i think if anyones on such a tight budget that they cant afford the extra £250 for a proper ECU remap then they shouldnt be trying to mod their engine in the first place. i dont mean to...

    grp N ecu

sounds a bit odd to me. how can they make a chip just to work with 'sporting exhaust and air intake modification'. there are loads of different exhausts and induction kits and they are all going to affect performance differently (only a minor difference but thats not the point) so how can that...

    grp N ecu

well i guess it cant be a bad thing if it works, its not ideal though. i drive a 106 (shock horror.lol) but my gf has just bought a 172 cup, so i'm looking into a few minor mods (if she'll let me), although i dont really want hers to be faster than mine!lol

    grp N ecu

feel free to tell me to shut up if i'm worng but a group N ecu is surely mapped to run with a specific spec (i.e group N cams etc.) so it wouldnt be ideal. even if you have everything the same spec as a group N car, every engine is different so it wouldnt be a spot on map for your application...

fitted my viper C.A.F. in the grill [pics]

i'm sure you've done a good job but it makes it looks a bit 'halfords' stylee. i think you should at least paint the red bit black, then it wont show. i think it would have been better in the fog light hole, thats only my opinion though.

i'd paint the '2.0 16v' badge white if you are going to have white wheels.
