On washer, dried, panel wiped down and applied first coat of wax. Buffed off and here are two good photos.

Now have to wait one hours to apply the final coat. In the meantime I will clean windows and exhaust. Veryyy pleased.

Small update.

Just been in for it's yearly service, oil, filter, air filters, pollen filters and brake fluid.

Only covered 4k in the past 12 months so just ticked over 53k total.

Paint is still looking deep after detail which is great!

I know the plate is not everyone’s cup of tea but I’m happy and that’s what matters ?

Been offered a Eisenman race exhaust (back boxes) for 600 quid. Ohhhhh the temptation is strong ?

Was just going to say the above. After listening to the above video. They sound good when stock.

Granted the aftermarket exhaust posted sounds better, but not massively different in my opinion.

Cars been at the dealers for the past two weeks due to this noise.

I know it’s the vanos solenoids but it’s taken them ages to diagnose it 😂

Anyhow they have replaced both on that bank at a cost of £2400 to the warranty company. They used to be £150 each, they jacked the price up to a grand each a few years ago 😫

Blast from the past is back on my radar.

Guy I sold it to has been in contact asking if I want to buy it back.

It’s done 60200 miles, 6k more than when I sold it back in 2019.

Won’t be able to keep the 911 if I did.

Am I f**king nuts?

much difference in your sold price vs what he wants for it now, or hasn't he stated a price yet.

Also has he had much work done to it while he's had it.

For me I'd probably keep your 911 (M5 does look lovely though)

Pretty much what I sold it for.

It’s at a age now that the rod bearings would need doing.

I'd keep the Porsche.

Do you get more of a buzz buying and selling?

You seem to chop and change alot, I feel the M5 would only be months before looking elsewhere too

Just the way it is, the M5 Tourer I have owned two over 4 years.

Longest I have owned a car.

Get the M5, do the rod bearings.

Big road trip round Europe in the Spring, finish off with a spin round the ring.

911 or M5 Touring really comes down to how you'll use it surely? If you do spirited weekend drives only then 911 all day but if you are likely to do longer journeys but want something that's still spicy when you want it then M5 imo.

V10 is a masterpiece when working right. Porsche is also a stunner, hard choice tbf
