What’s a set of scabby 4x100 15 inch pro race 1.2’s worth?
They’re £137 each brand new at Demon Tweeks. I picked up a really clean set for £300 in Gloss Black (I got lucky I think). What’s a typical refurb these days, £50 a wheel?

For someone doing trackdays a few chips and scrapes wouldn’t bother them as long as they’re straight. If they’re really horrible and scabby as you say, £60 each so they’re £110 finished? 🤷🏻‍♂️

My favourite wheels, so I’m biased.

I have a iceburg silver 52 172 with a mere 46k, bone stock standard 2 keepers and all belts replaced last year. Really clean honest car.
Any idea on prices

I guess aswell as low mileage the condition of the cars - bodywork/underneath is also important when trying to gauge a price?
It's about time there was a bigger margin between the rough ones that have corrosion and rust underneath and good clean tidy examples!

I was thinking around £4995.00. High mileage ones seem to be 3-4k

I'm wondering if anyone can help give a rough estimate of how much my Trophy is worth? I've tried to list everything I've done to it in the last 5 years but I'm sure I've missed something.

It has 101,500 miles.
MOT expires 25 Feb 2025 - no current advisories.
Cat D - although I have no infomation regarding this, it was prior to my ownership.

List of mods/fixes
Oil Filter, oil pressure switch and 5ltr oil changed on 09.01.2020 @ 100,800 miles
Spark plugs on 25.04.2020 @101,200 miles
OSF Track rod end, track rod, ball joint and new hub at 101,200 miles on 06.06.20
NSF Track rod end, track rod, ball joint and new hub at 101,200 miles on 06.06.20
Rear discs and pads at 101,200 miles on 29.08.20
Cambelt, alternator and coolant (Diamond Motors) at 101,224 miles on 09.08.2021
Front caliper refurb and pads at 101,400 miles on 29.02.24
New front bushes (powerflex)
Mark Fish springs all round - 15mm drop
Scorpion exhaust with sports cat - decat also included
Spacers (Front 18mm / Rear 10mm)
Red seatbelts - kolour koncept (rears still on my list to do)
Fabia splitter

Bad Bits
Cat D
Rust appearing around the arch beneath the petrol cap
Knocking noise when pulling off. I think it's possibly the top mounts or engine mount, I've not had time to investigate yet.

I've included a couple of pictures but I can get more if needed.

Bumping this up. Bought a new car so Clio will be going soon but just not sure what they valued at just now for age, mileage, condition.
Mileage still under 60k. Just about to put a new battery on it also.

What you think if I was to sell it I should ask for ?
Was thinking putting it up for £12k with all the spare parts and everything I own for it.

  172 Cup
Thinking over advertising my Clio 172 Cup 76k with service history. I bought it to use as a track day car. When I got it had stickers all over it, when removing them some of the lacquer come off the drivers side so that has been repainted. I also had PDR done so it’s pretty much dent free. The rear beam has been powder coated and fitted with power flex black bushes, new rear calipers and 10mm hub spacers, braided hoses. When I bought it, it had a lot of the interior stripped out but I’ve pretty much sourced all the interior now. Belts, water pump and dephaser, oil and filter changed at Birchdown in Malpas (April 24) they also built up and fitted the rear axle. Brand new Rainsport 5’s fitted to the Turini’s. Standard cup suspension with gram springs, 16mm front hub-centric spacers. Currently has two bucket seats but will fitted back with standard Cup seats. Vibratechnics engine mounts and power flex dog bone, front and rear strut brace. Any ideas on what it’s worth.

Odd one I guess as it’s not a car, but I’ve been sifting through some odds and ends I have collected over the years and found a pile of new bits a pieces. All of this has been wrapped and boxed in the roof of the garage. Some of which is NLA.

One item is a genuine 172 (and 182 I believe) new old stock genuine steering rack in the Renault box.

The other is a set of brand new Cup lower arms.

I’ve got other stuff like Trophy washer blanks and odds and ends too.

How do I price these parts?

People will want them for 20p because it's what they paid 10 years ago mate

You can still purchase the near-side wishbone (part number 8200257956) for £150, plus postage.

As for the offside wishbone, which is no longer available, it’s worth working out the cost of refurbishing an existing part by replacing the bushes and ball joints, and adding a coat of paint.

Fag packet rough estimate:
  • Bushes: 4 TRW bushes at £12.17 each = £49
  • Ball Joints: 2 Lemförder ball joints = £72
  • Spray Paint: £10
  • Labour: Estimated £50 to press in new bushes
Total: Approximately £181 for a refurbished offside wishbone.

Ask £200 and it'll fly out as most people couldn't be arsed refurbishing.

No idea about the steering rack but I'll be watching 👀

Mine is 8200276162 but it's possible 8200054197 fits as well as it's for Clio's from 01-08. Not entirely sure what the differences are, but every day is a school day with these cars. Electric?

Double-checked that part number on the steering rack for a 182 CUP and it's not coming up. So maybe check if it fits first.
Came up last time I checked but I’ll call RPD or similar and reconfirm its fitment. Last check in 2015 it was £650 plus VAT. 😂

Thanks for the estimate on arms too. Perhaps I’ll sit on em for another 10 years and cash em in as a pension.

Yeah, we have the Renault parts system here and couldn't pin it down to a CUP model. It mentioned motors or something in French, but it's likely to fit. We're not 100% sure.

I wouldn't have a problem refurbing my wishbones as the paint on them is awful anyway, but they're not going to go down in value that's for sure. And at least you can guarantee they came off a CUP. I got lucky and bought the last genuine OSF when I was refurbing mine. But good luck with whatever you decide.

This bit of the rack hits my downpipe and sends some wild vibrations through the steering column at the right RPM. If you can grind that nubbin off and stick the bolt through a more sensible place a bit further down I’ll give you £30 for it 👍
