Anyone had any issues with recent windows updates

I’ve had one sat waiting to do on my laptop for a week or so. Just done it, restarted my laptop and now after two minutes it keeps freezing.

I’ve turned it off and restarted it a few times but it keeps doing the same thing (freezing after two minutes).

I can hear the CPU working but the screen just freezes

Not as bad as you but I have had issues.

iRacing tweeted that users should not update to the latest version of Windows as it can result in issues (not just with iRacing apparently). I saw the tweet too late though so right now performance is being badly affected in some places.

After a bit of head scratching I managed to sort my issue by uninstalling the update that I’d put on this morning. Amazingly it worked fine after that.

Updated my CPU, motherboard and RAM today. Finally joined the X3D CPU club (9800X3D).

Well, I shouldn't be surprised really, but this whole nVidia 5090 ordering farce is beyond ridiculous.

I was one of the "lucky" ones who managed to get an order in. I paid and got an invoice, and the estimated delivery date was yesterday. Instead, I get an email stating I've been put in a pre-order queue, that I'm currently at position 172, and it could be 4 months before I see the GPU. Wonderful.
