New member - with a question or two

  Audi TT
Hi - New to the Forum and looking at a Clio 1.6 EDC. I'm a retired Tech. Author currently running a Mk1 TT 225. Its a fantastic car but I really do need an automatic and fancy a change. I was after a PH2 but spotted a PH1 import (Ebay - 256836280577 ). Are there any pitfalls to buying an import, other than insurance, that I should be aware of. My main concern is that Importers do not always have the best reputation. Your comments, advice are welcome. Or does the panel think that holding out for a PH2 is the better option?

Thanks

Cub.

Hi.
If you have any issues with insurance at all for an imported vehicle then please feel free to drop me a line.

I can’t comment on a ph2 as I’ve only ever had my ph1.

LY is the most awesome colour but the worst at the same time. The cost to repair is huge and the skill in matching and blending is hard to find.

Still, I’ve had mine 7 years and has just ticked over 215k and it’s been the best car I’ve owned.

Biggest benefit to going ph2 for me is the LED headlights, once your used to a car with LED headlights it's hard to go back! Maybe it's just my eyes getting old!

I believe the facelift cars all got the revised gearbox software similar to the trophy too?
