  clio rs tropy

Car has been parked for a 2 weeks not much movement and the rain fall has been not to bad but the floor is soaked through

Any suggestions on where to start looking

Where in the floor?

Front/ back/ boot?

Damaged seal’s and clogged drainage channels would be first points to look at.

First port of call is to check the scuttle drains.

Wipers off, cover off and get a stiff wire/rod down the rubber drains.

Worth checking for water marks along the bottom of the doors and inner sill plastic trims too, incase the doorcard membrane has come away or been messed with previously.

Worst thing is, you're going to have to remove the carpets and foam underneath to dry it out properly

You were spot on

Took it all off there and it was full of water

No only handy thing is I already had the foam taken out of the passenger side of the car from sorting something else

So now it’s rip it all out on Sunday and see what happens

Give the drains a good clean through with water.

They have a flap of rubber at the bottom which is why they get blocked. Leaf and dirt build up and get stuck.

It'll take a while to dry.
