Not too much left to get mine moving again but I've only really got today to finish it up. I'd like to get more done but it'll be alright to do a sessioned day I reckon, mechanically it's sorted anyway!

Just rebuilt a hub after a balljoint and wheel bearing decided to throw in the towel. I'd like to get the fire extinguisher fully plumbed in but I don't think that'll be happening now. No second harness sadly so no passenger laps unless I can source one in a few days.

I have been looking at cars on gumtree to pick up on the way. Always wanted a £1500 Z4 or Boxster..

Not sure how much bargaining power it gives me if I rock up with a helmet and camping gear

@Touring_Rob and i always used to joke at Anglesey that our Rangie/X5 combo would be quite fun to chuck around on track, for about 2 laps before the brakes caught fire. Cadwell would be fine im sure though, the X5 drives like a really fat, overweight, slightly drunk Golf R i reckon

Jokes aside though. Are the M2, clio and civic all broken? I did Blyton Park in the Clubman when the M3 didnt get finished in time.

Clio, Honda and X5 are all in varying stages of disrepair. My wife has been driving the M2 for almost two weeks now and she needs it CSF weekend and the week after so I can't risk breaking that on track (again

).

There is a chance the X5 will get repaired before that or I can hopefully sort the Honda out but otherwise it will be shed galore or the piss train.

Doesn't help that I'm away for work most of the time until CSF and the whole week after

Stupid cars.

Well the test day didnt go well.
Overheating issues which have finally made a head gasket issue show its ugly face. Will be a push to get it all sorted in time with needing a head skim etc.
We shall see.

Gutted I am going to miss this again this year. Mother in law is going to be living with us recovering from surgery, pregnant wife is doing her markets all weekend, so I am on call to run about after people for the weekend. I was hoping I could at least come Friday evening to say hello but looking unlikely.

I did have a quick look at some of the YouTube vids from last year when we were told that there was an event on the Friday and from what I can see there were still a good amount of free spaces in the main area (and there’s the quiet area on top of that too).

Unfortunately without exclusively booking the circuit for the whole weekend there’s not much we can do (Cadwell operates the access to camping as being from 5pm on the day of your event to midday the day after) but we’re a relatively intelligent and sociable bunch of Clio aficionados and so I’m hoping we’ll be able to figure a solution out that means we get to have a little fun on Fri as well as a good rest in advance of Sat.

We’ll aim to look at camping space as one of the first activities when we arrive on site on Fri and can keep everyone updated accordingly.
