My glorious Clio

Hi guys! First post here. This is my little Clio Ph2 1.6L—my very first car. I’ve been enjoying it for a year now; it has always driven flawlessly and really likes being thrown around corners.


It has received a good amount of maintenance and its first few mods:


Oil, all filters, spark plugs, belts, etc.


Lower ball joints


Tie rod ends


Rear shocks


Front brake rotors + pads


Mods:


Renault Solonia 16-inch 6.5J wheels (originally from a Clio 3)


RS grille


Bluetooth radio


Questionable lights


Next up, I want to improve the handling and sound.


I'm planning to switch to 195/45/16 summer tires instead of the current 195/50/16s, as those are a bit too tall. After that, I’ll probably get some lowering springs with aftermarket shocks (I'm open to advice on handling improvements!).


I'd also like some more induction noise, maybe with a different air intake? (Again, open to advice/suggestions!)


So, this was the introduction of my Clio. I hope to meet some like-minded people here and learn new things about these awesome cars.

Just get the cams , throttle body , injectors and upper and lower intake from Twingo Rs , i can see that you got the 1.6 16v version , on that engine you can put the megane 2 head that has the dephaser and all those bits from twingo rs and it work like a charm . Need more info just ask .

I'd personally say that induction noise was perhaps overrated, until I made the swap from the OEM kit to the KTEC 2RS induction kit earlier in the year.

I don't know if it was that on its or a sum of the several changes previously made - cams, map, exhaust, etc - that made it sound completely different. Under slight to medium load, it has a definite burble, almost Subaru-esque. But get it on a decent B-road and up to 5k rpm and beyond and it sounds superb - in my opinion, of course!

Would be interesting to see if you can achieve similar with the 1.6 16v unit.
