Probably a strange question to ask on here but.. Got a arden blue astra vxr and just switched from AG ultra deep shine to a combination of SRP and EGP, just after a wax to go over the top of it as it looks like you lot rate the combination. The finish with the ultra is ok but think it lacks...

so you can have a generic remap for a car but then tweak it on pc/tuning machine/laptop for if that car has a certain set of mods e.g. same base map but slightly different result for cams, cams+intake+zaughst ace thanks 4 the help

so best bet is a custom reflash/remap, thats where the tuner actually re-writes the ecu/map on the car specificaly for MY engine with MY mods, not a generic map that just ups fuel, air etc.. levels. Is the only way you can do this on a rolling road or dyno? cheers for the replys.

this is not for a specific car but..... After having a few engine mods done lots of people say to have a 'remap/chip' to make the best gains and most power from the engine. What confuses me is are they all the same, e.g. superchip, unichip, ecu remap, re flash, grpn ecu, rollining road...

if you leave it a bit too long you need a hammer and chisel to take it off. The megs 16, is that what its called as ive just searched and can only find the NXT wax which is an all in one. I have found a xxx pure wax willthis suit my needs, how many coats of each do you put on, is it like 1 coat...

thanks for that, looks like ill use up whats left of the UDS and bin the turtle wax. Ill go for SRP an EGP as i like the autoglym stuff and then i need a pure wax with no cleaners etc... in it cheers karl

so you think get a better wax and use a sealent in between layers. whats better a liquid/spray/paste wax? i use a microfibre applicator for the polish and a foam one for wax, then a different microfibre cloth to remove. is that ok? cheers karl

Car is red alfa 147. At the moment im using AG ultra deep shine (polish), then Turtle wax 'original hard shell wax' (paste wax). After polishing the paint is shiny and reflective but when i give it the coat of wax over the top it seems to dull the paint and reduce the shiny reflectivness the...
