Joker!!1 i had a VRS and forked out just short of 2k to make it 175 BHP lower it , intakes bla bla and still would not touch the 182 ina straight line or on a track even with ARB etc. Take a trophy or cup or FF 182 against a Fab VRS Stokc or with map and you will be destroyed!!!
Mate, you are...
Yeah they were 182 Ps not BHP so approx 179BHP ish??? so map and exhaust...flogging a dead horse here i think. Probably just best to do the mods then RR and see what happens and hope for the best!
even with the re-map. The K-tec racing claims 195PS with just the map so approx 190BHP??? Surely that and a exhaust and a maxogen would be 190BHP at least! Spending 1k ish for 8BHP or so...ummmmcrazy!
thought that may be the case, defo want a map done...think maybe with a manifold and go from there.
I suppose the question is if you have 500-600 to spend what would you get???
Really!!!! Rempas are claiming 195 PS so approx 192 BHP so that is 10BHP for £290 ish. I am just looking to break the 200 BHP threshhold...mental thing i think! Will get it and see how it goes and look at mod option from there i guess. defo dont want to be spending £KKK:(
Hi,
I am looking in to getting a trophy 182 and wandered what mods there are in terms of re-maps, intakes etc to boost BHP.
I appreciate it is not a turbo charged car so gains will not be as high, but was wandering how much £££££ You spend for what gains.
Cheers
Stu
apparently it is approx 1k per shock!!!!! Can get a re-build for 250 per shock though so not too bad imo. Need to sell my beast so i can start looking properly...
had some on for 4 months and had a randon stop and search and still dont care! A lot depends on the car you drive and a lot on how bored the policeman is that day!
Luckily i dont plan on modding if i get the trophy, looked at a a3 3.2 v6 quattro first, no turbo charger and same modding issues. You spend £££££££ with little gain.
I am selling my Mazda 3MPS aero at the mo and having difficulty, as mentioned above bad time to sell.
Just make sure it is competitively priced against similar spec and milage examples, then buyers will come to you first.
Best of luck mate.
as above, looking at them now and 7.5 to 8.5k seems about right according to auto trader and piston heads.
I am looking at the trophys, and with 30k on the clock start as low as 7.5k and go as high as 10k
Bummer, i am going to make sure mine is sold first! Really reluctant to sell mine as i love it to bits and have modded a bit as well.
Flys!!! 0-60 in 5.7 secs and handles well to...never mind...Clio will be a worthy replacement as ther handling will be much better:)
oh, fair enough, need to sell mine first and go from there. What are your thought being a owner? Ride comfort? Issues with the car? What are you changing for?
Cheers
was not meant to be a plug sorry, just providding a bit of context! I in no way doubt the handling ability and driver experience of the Trophy. Cheers for the link, will have a butchers.
Will look at the Cup as well as have heard stories of the Trophy being a bit sore on your bum! I am 6,2" so...
i have had a fabia VRS mapped and now have a mazda 3 MPS aero I am looking to sell and pick up something cheaper as am getting married next year.
The 182 trophy seems to fit the bill, sporty, handles well, fairly good spec etc.
My concerns....
Build quality? Issues in general with the...
