it didnt cost that much to do really:
front bumper: free, my bro got it from work,
rear bumper: £25 from local breakers,
skirts: £50 from mirfield breakers,
wings: £90 pair from an online salvage site.
and painting was free my brother's a spray painter hehe
go my car back today, it was getting a respray to tidy it up a bit to match the nw wings bumpers skirst etc, they did my 1.4 badges silver but when i picked it up my bro had swappedthem for just 16v badges lol but it still looks great.:D
sorry worded that a bit funny, yep it's just a 1.4 with a lump in it basically lol, got a williams engine, sports suspension, brakes etc, very fast but needs tidying up, he's a paint sprayer so when he gets round to it, it'll be a smashing lil car.
hey, my cars going in for respray friday/sat and ive seen a couple of cars on here with the renault badges colour coded or done black, i quite liked the look of them,
not sure what to do though if i want them doing same colour as car it's best done with the rest but black i can get done anytime...
,
haha, just a stab in the dark, lovely car it makes me jealous every time i drive past ;) i pointed it out a few times to the g.f but she couldnt give a s**t lol
i see this car every day when i take my g.f to work and on my way to work too, it's a gorgeous minter of a trophy outside the little renault garage in stourton on the way into leeds, must be a sales person's car or something, have to say that garage loves it's 1*2's they always have them in lol...
my bro's got one it's a 1.4 williams conversion,
think it's pushing past 170 bhp mark with just a little bit of engine work and aparantly it's makes a fool of his mates astra coupe turbo with over 200bhp.
depends what you prefer obviously the smaller car (mk1) can be an amazing little car if...
nobody come across this then?
my mechanic said it might be the water pump, but you need to take cam belt or something off because its behind it and thn it will need the timing redoing and will end up resulting in a good few hours work :(
hey, ive been having a problem with my car overheating, it's a mk 2 clio 1.4 16v, it dosent really do it when the heaters are on in the car but after a while it does start to get hotter and hotter,
so i took it to a friend whos a mechanic but never does work on renaults really, after changing...
nebver noticed a thread saying there was one on :( mines all primer anyway i'd be too embarrassed to show anyone it ha, getting full respray on sat tho:D
cant really remember,
wat i did was find the wires going from the speaker to the connector block and as they were diff colours i just looked at which holes in the block they went into it and found the wires at the other side in the corresponding ones if that makes sense;)
i live quite close to there , never really seen many when ive been up but i dont go near it much these days. if ya see a gunmetal grey n primer one its me lol
never even thought of doing it like that, any ideas on the tweeter wires?
i just connected my crossover wires to the original ones under the dash in the loom at the footwell.
hey, ive just got a digital heater control panel for my clio today thinking o yeah it's pretty much the same thing i can just swap em over:o ,
i have the twisty dial things in mine and liked the look of the digital one in the car at my local scrap yard,
