Thanks gents for the replies, it is def coming from the gearbox. It was a crash repair. Its had a new box put in bout hr ago, i havne't crunched it at all. The knocking is getting louder now, it only knocks when accelerating. Seems like its the driveshaft to me. Going to get one and try it...

Hi all have just bought a clio v6 salvage. Now just found out i've got some knocking from my 172. It seems to come from the gear box area poss driveshaft, it gets loader and faster when i increase speed. That makes me think driveshaft. There is two quieter knocks then one loader...
