Not in Blackpool but only down the road in Manchester mate - would be happy to come to you if you can provide some cover and water/elec for me to work with? If not you could bring it over and I can do it :)
The product is awesome, as demonstrated by Russ' images of it. I don't think you are expecting too much from it either. There has been a fault hence your disappointment - it can happen occasionally. As Russ has posted though and will sort it out for you, I can assure you that Finest at 100% is...
Sometimes these things happen, and often without reason. I had a GTR booked in for an original CQuartz detail the other week, I had to change the LSP to Crystal Rock because the paintwork simply would not accept the quartz coating. The client didn't have to make any extra journies though, I...
Hmm.. strange one. If it got wet straight after you would simply end up with water spotting rather than failure anyway. Well, Russ knows what he is doing so doubt there has been an application problem - he will ask you to take it back to him for a proper diagnosis. It's easy for us to sit...
Wow, that's a shocker. If it was only applied on the 27th I would say there has been a problem and for whatever reason it has not bonded to the paintwork (this is purely my opinion from seeing that one pic, so it's not a fact). I am CarPro approved and applied this coating to a couple of BMW's...
G1 for the glass probably edges out the Flyby30. DLUX on trim however is the better trim restorer, and CQuartz UK is better than C1 for paintwork too imho.
Heat gun them first to revive the plastic, then protect them with a trim restorer / protectant - such as CarPro DLUX. This is the best long term solution. Be careful with the heat gun though, too close and you'll melt the plastic, not close enough and it wont do anything!!
If he's looking for someone who can do mobile you're more than welcome to pass my details on mate; all my contact info, treatments and prices are on my website www.magicdetail.co.uk
That was Ultrafina on a LC Hydro-Tech finishing pad mate :)
I've done dozens of Honda's, I haven't really come across any that have needed more cut! As you know it's so easy to get high correction, but of course on the soft paint it isnt as easy to leave a hologram free finish. I prefer harder...
I use the tape to save the very edges of the panels where the paint is thinnest and also so that you are not overworking the panel edges (as you naturally run over the edges with the pad to polish the whole panel). Results are certainly more consistant with a machine.
Regarding claying you do...
Hey guys,
Not really had much to post in here of late as you all seem to be doing a good job of detailing your own cars and answering each others questions
Thought I'd share a few images from a one-to-one tuition detail I hosted this past weekend gone. Nothing special really, just a...
Kelly @ KDS is one of if not the best in the UK on current form. I don't know what you'd get for £500, I suspect probably an enhancement? Which tbh, for an every day car is ideal - because even with full correction and the strictest of wash routines you can never keep paintwork 100%. So unless...
Sounds good mate! It gets damn expensive this detailing lark hey!!
Hope you remembered to use the 'welcome' 10% discount code?
I'm fortunate enough to have been selected as an Ambassador for the North West, hence carrying such a large stock of M&K goodies. One thing I would recommend you take...
Nice one mate!! You'll love the waxes! I am a M&K gold card approved detailer, all of the products are great. Philip is especially good, very glassy reflections :)
It'll be embedded brake dust and tar spots. Iron-X (multiple applications if it's as bad as you make out) and some Autosmart Tardis is all you require. If you're feeling like a detailing god you can whizz the wheels off and clay them inside and out, then get some sealant and/or wheel wax on them...
Where abouts are you based mate? I may be able to help, I'm in Altrincham.
I'd also beat Miglior's price (just) and take better photo's without a tonne of processing.
Have a look in the 'what have you detailed?' thread for a few jobs I've done lately.
Good work Jim. I bet the owner was well chuffed with the ol' Fezza!
Shame about the weather though eh? Not ideal to be driving those cars around.
Just lol. Have you seen any work in person from Jim, Russ or anyone else?
