Ok, sounds good. Could you make it a weekend so we can see it in the daylight? I'd give the whole car a proper wash rather than just the panel in question.. that way we get a fair comparison and then after that it's down to you and you can let me know what you think when you're washing it next...
Easier to leave the car wet when claying rather than dry and use clay lube, then rewash and after that, dry. You did alot of things twice there mate!!!
The offer of applying this wax to a front wing or another panel as a direct comparison to whatever is on your car already is still open btw...
Hoping to have it in a more modern glass jar Russ :)
Version 2 will be here this week! So is anyone local willing to come over and let me have a dabble on a front wing or something, so you can give me some feedback on how it performs against whatever else is on your car?
Nothing you can do for pitted chrome unfortunately :(
Rechroming is the only solution - try looking up a company called 'Willow Chrome', they're based in the NW, and have been known to rechrome classic car bumpers before!!
Take a look into those then, for once a week use providing the car is washed and dried before putting the cover over, you should be ok. Problems only arise if you go out and use the car, it gets dirty and then you put the cover over it. You just have to be a bit strict with it.
Try 'Specialised Covers' mate - they do indoor and outdoor covers and the quality of each is absolutely fantastic. Best covers I have ever seen and they are who I'd use if I was in the market for one. From a detailing perspective covers are a bit of a no-no unless the car is perfectly clean...
Yes, Russ @ MCC needs to charge more! He is too cheap considering he is a decent detailer. As he isn't a million miles away, it is worth travelling a few extra miles to see him. You could come to me but I am further north being in Manchester, and more expensive.
I believe his ~ £250 is for the...
Should probably have said that when I say prototype, of course it is not the only prototype wax in the world, I am sure others are developing their own as we speak. I was meaning more along the lines of that this is the only pour of that particular ingredient set and genetic make up - it is not...
I agree with you Gally. Truth be told I would usually protect new cars with a ceramic sealant - I prefer Ceramishield Pro, it's easy enough to use and gets the job done. It also comes with a 2yr warranty. However there were some issues with the paint which prevented this and so the spec was...
I'm not sure what will happen with samples etc. You guys wouldn't like this one. Detailing is frowned upon by your neighbours already (surely?!), without you then popping out some wax and massaging it in with your bare hands. They would think you have finally lost the plot.
The application is...
Hey all,
Just thought I'd show you some sneak preview pics of my own blend of bespoke wax I am currently developing alongside luxurious wax crafters Mitchell & King. We are only in the early stages here btw, this is the first version. I hope you like it? I am developing it not only for myself...
Hey guys, it was myself who detailed the car. Lee has pointed me in the direction of here so thought I may aswell sign up and answer any questions etc and get stuck in helping out in the detailing section you've got.
Hi mate, I am actually a Mitchell & King approved detailer / Ambassador, so...
Hello guys and gals !!
Just thought I'd pop on and say hello. I'm a car detailer, so I will no doubt end up boring you senseless in the cleaning section, but reason I have ended up here is that I recently detailed a forum members car and he suggested I sign up and help get stuck in answering...
