They are washed out, (well the background has had alot of desaturation and vibrancy taken out) the car and the orange hasn't but had a few funny colours on random parts from the sun. A couple of the graphics looked off colour.
Hes got a special edition coming so this goes next week.
Bit different shooting the odd car from my music stuff here - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ryan-Dinham-Photography/117772628249858
Not shot anything 4 wheels for what feels like an eternity.
Trying out some new processing anyway as just grabbed a snapshot before the model arrived for the main shoot...
colour slightly off between the two sets on wheels so need a bit more tweeking..
I do a fairly large part of my work in this sector and not all true tbh.
pic-pal the staff are paid (or were at around £6 per hour + commision) but laregly the images are piss poor and people are encouraged not to use their own kit and the stuff provided is pants.
DSI not all are free, although...
First time out with the ranger ringflash... I didnt want to do brickwork really as its been done, but hey ill shoot what im asked sometimes and guess it works ok.
Nick I wouldnt agree on the high ISO tbh, shooting with people on 7Ds my mkIII has much more sustainable image quality at the higher isos 32-6400. The 7D having a ton of pixels crammed onto a tiny sensor doesnt help it here.
16-35.
Im not a fan of processed images (the type of HDR s**t people do etc..) clients would have to pay me alot more money to do such crap on my work lol!
Yep some more content.
Think probably my shortest shoot ever. 10mins to unpack and set up my kit. + about another 10-15mins on the shoot or something silly. In what was a pitch black room bar my pathetic little modelling bulb lol
Something a bit more natural on the lighting compared to the...
Lol we had 2 buggies, 1 for me and my kit, then another for finch and his wardrobe.
Ill dig it out when back on my mac. It's a lightroom one I got online though as I feckin hate photoshop lol.
Just testing images for the portfolio tbh.
Ive got a MTX\DH rider planned and another running 1 and should have a collection of images for what I need/want. Just waiting on a new ringflash too for some other bits.
Right dont really like the overprocessed look, but ive ran a preset I had form ages ago on LR. A couple of people seem to like it so throwing it out here for people..
ill tone that down a touch. Thought it may do, my monitor is very vibrant and a few people had been saying I was really undersaturating bits so trying to compensate.
HAHA! Let us know we can go for a beer over your way. Ive got a cracking story to update you with too regarding me going awol at some one too. Sarcasm apparently is picked up on in emails ;)
Club was at 100mph (Hes had his swing speed recorded at) So I think the mix of Ranger A heads + 580s may...
Another one of my sports based shoots. Got there late thanks to the sodding m25 which has highlighted a few things to consider for the future. The trees and shadows late in the day vs sky is a bit of a bugger, and I have enough grunt in my lights to be doing it earlier when the sun has more...
guess my photoshop skills are not utter shite then (either that or i got lucky).
Some of the others the less shallow DOF is going to cause issues I think. O why didnt I get sky like today!
ok wee update. Got fed up with alot of people moaning about the sky elsewhere (even though it was a flat crap sky on the day).. Dont usually do much PP work and bloody hate it.
Does the sky look obviously fake/chopped in?
I went for a non in serial number body but still have had issues.
Problem is the files on the MKiin are just not as nice, colours not as good and then high iso stuff is pants. Mkiv on the list i think to solve the issues all round. Shame I had to replace a shutter on the mkii last year as...
I wanted to do a bit more, I have some more ideas but alas ran out of time.
I have some more ideas, really want to see if using my 1d mkII gives better results with the AF etc..
Lights - Main elinchrom ranger pack + a Head (either octabox/BD)
430 and 580 used for rim.
Standard 3 light set up...
Decided to try and do some sports portraiture as its something different. Never done 3 light set up before so again a new challenge. Moving stuff im still not happy on, Having A heads on my ranger I expected things different, although on my 1D i have had it back a few times for AF issues :(...
Standard forum rule is 8 so thought it was here too lol!
Nick ive had to really work hard on things recently, I think probably shooting in a venue that alot of togs/video guys come into and say is really hard to shoot in has helped me alot though long term. If it was an easy venue to shoot id...
Been through the motions like ive seen a few post before about over the last few months along with getting frustrated with hard lighting (well bad lighting and over use of smoke and some double bookings which could have been avoided if promoters listened to how much notice they need to give me)...
