I read somewhere else on the net that the FM aerial has an amplifier in the base which is fused. I haven't been able to clarify this anywhere else. If it is, where is the fuse located? in the box at the side of the dash or in the base itself? thanks.

i think the connection is different at the other end. the pure highway aerial has a connection similar to that of a pair of headphones...only smaller than standard.

i bodged it :cool: how long it'll last i dont know...but i put the wire under the door seal...popped out the boot at the door side and put the wire under the boot and pushed it back in...covering the wire in between the door and the car in duck tape (very little wire). Works fine, cable...
