Well, its been a while since my last post here, but i took the time to do some tests..
Did everything possible, took all your advices, nothing helps..
Now the mechanics at the garage have a new "idea", they say it must be an exhaust issue, saying it must be blocked (cat' problem?).
I must say...
The bolt under the battery is ok, have already checked it...
The engine aint exactly banging, its just rocking back and forth whenever i rev or leave the gas pedal, more like a rocking chair :). i know the original mounts aint as stiff as the ktr ones, but it got worsen eversince i've replaced...
Hi,
Need some experts advice here please..
Ever since i've replaced my engine mounts with ktec standard mounts (not the ktr), the engine keeps on banging back and forth whenever i rev or leave the gas pedal.
The dogbone & the right upper mount are new and original reanult's.
At the garage they...
Ive got num 2+3 from those :http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=2471
and PF dogbone bushes. the upper front left one is an original (2 years old).
Well, i've looked at the dogbone mount today, it's fitted exactly as it should be, as for the other 3 mounts, 2 of them are new, the only one which is older (2 years) is the upper left one.
Btw, all the shaking and trembling are appearing only at neutral rpm (700 circa). however the car is a bit...
Renault garage... but its a simple task, how can it be fitted badly? maybe i'll take a look tomorrow morning to check it out.
But i've heared a lot of other people who did complain about these vibrations after installing the PF dogbone bushes...
two weeks ago ive changed 3 mounts, the dogbone (powerflex) the upper gear mount (k-tech , regular) and the lower engine mount (k-tech, regular), so its pretty obvious that its the dogbone mount which does all the trembling..and its really unbearable...
hi,
Ive been driving the car for the last two weeks with the powerflex bushes (dogbone), and it does make a big difference, neverthelss it vibrates like hell, its like sitting inside a vibrator, i think ill change back to an original dogbone, i just cant stand it, the wheel, dashboard...
hi,
just got back from the garage, well, it was indeed the fuel pump. you could hear it "priming" and the inner motor itself was working but the plastic rotors inside it were broken so no fuel came out.
a.o.k now, thanks for helping :)
btw, the car was realy sluggish lately at mornings...
i'll have to check it (the car is stuck on the other side of town...)
would a burned plug could be the problem? from my experience, it cant, but as i've already learned, with renault cars everything is possible...
Hello everyone,
I would surely need your help...
an hour ago while driving my mk2 172, the engine went dead and now it aint starting.
when trying to start the engine, its starts, hesitate for a second and dies. any ideas? i thought about the fuel pump but im a bit lost here...
I had it for some time, changed the pedal sensor but it didnt solve the problem, someone here advised me to fill the brake fluid a bit above the max and that ended it :)
this creaky sound can get really annoying (especially while being stuck on traffic), all i can say is that replacing the cable cured the noise for about a week and the noise came back twice as annoying !
ill try the WD40 trick, see if it'll help...
