On a gear stick, there is a piece of plastic (gear mode lock) at the front of it which gets in way during upshifts. Paddles are also designed weirdly - mounted on a column instead of the wheel and only pointing upwards, not downwards. It is strange that Renault Sport didn't pay attention to such...
Ah yes I've seen his tweets (even asked him in reply which hatch he considered more fun but without a response). I thought he'd written a lengthier Fiesta ST review somewhere already.
Anyway, I'm ordering my Clio RS tomorrow despite the reviews, I simply loved that car.
Link? I am aware of a post on PistonHeads where he compares it to the old 205 GTi and I certainly wouldn't say he "loved it". Did he review it anywhere else?
If I may turn this discussion back to Clio for a while, which color would you choose - black or white? (All others are ruled out for various reasons.) I much prefer darker colors but I'm afraid that black would hide a lot of details. White doesn't have this problem and would also be easier to...
I think the Flamme red is "objectively" nice (if there is such thing as objectivity when talking colours) but I personally don't want to be driving a red car in any shade unless it's a Ferrari :)
Shame that the Platine gray is almost impossible to find in any pictures. Oh wait, it is a standard...

There is an interesting test in Auto Bild this week, comparing Clio R.S., Fiesta ST, 208 GTi, Corsa OPC and Polo GTI. The overall winner was Polo GTI but that's because the score sheet is mainly for standard cars so things like leg room, economy etc. matter. However, for the ones who seek every...
The promised Fiesta ST vs. Clio R.S. mini comparison:
Both cars are very comparable - modern, turbocharged, with about the same power, quite "normal" from both outside and inside, full of modern technology etc. They both have great seats, good handling, enough torque whenever you ask for it...
Last Friday I drove Fiesta ST for about 50km. First impressions: the engine is strong and capable, yet, this car felt more civil and "warm" rather than "hot". I liked Clio RS more. I will write more when I have time.
This is my first post here on the forum so hello everyone!
I am going to buy a hot hatch soon and Clio RS and Fiesta ST are the main contenders so this thread was a really interesting read to me. I am waiting for a local dealer to provide Fiesta for a test drive but in the meantime I was lucky...
