have your emissions checked at the friendly quick fit and look into a lambda sensor thats what solved all my issues . a part worn from rentech just to prove and will soon replace this with a brand new one :)

have your emissions checked might be the start of a bad lamda had loadsa probs different ppl sayin different things swapped out the lamda ---sorted:) £167+ vat from the dealers rentech sorted one for me for about £50 delivered but that was for a ph1 172

my 172 was doing something similar and then it would clear up and be ok IVE now changed the lamda sensor and all is ok now it starts drives well i was getting to the point of chopping it in but as a last chance for the car and im glad i did the sensor from the stealers was extortionate mone...

mine did this it was the throttle bodie sticking the butterfly had become offset just needed a good clean and repos and all is fine now not had a problem since.

no had my bearings replaced both side and know my break catches in 1 place weather the bearings not been fitted right or not i dont know but they have had similar probs in the past and the drive flange has cured the problem its not a warped disk

are they the same standard leads for all types of 172/182/cup i know this maybe a silly ques but im a silly person

i ve had the miss fire problem got worse and worse after i brought new plugs and leads and coil pack still an issue then the gearbox layshaft bearing collapsed still in the garage at the mo so wondering if that could of been part of the cause the car limping to protect itself:(
