still stalling!!!!!!!! help

  megane 285 sport
ive changed the throttle body and coilpack, still the damn thing is stalling when i depress the clutch and brake quick, especially when i use the steering, but ive noticed now that its isnt as bad now its colder, but if you are in traffic and the car reaches full temperature ( a notch over half way on the temperature gauge) it starts to do it again. oh it doesnt do it when the engine is cold. come on someone on here as got to have had the same problem, any information would be grate. ryan

could be air leaking in somewhere after the throttle body, see if you can hear any air leaking into the manifold. air gaps sometimes open up when the engine gets warm

Ive been having this exact problem! The power steering uses engine power, so when the revs drop too low and the power steering is putting extra load on the engine it cuts out all togther, Ive gotta keep bliping the throttle to keep the rev's up.
Its a nightmare trying to manover in a car park because you need to use the PAS a lot at low rev's end you end up looking like a total spanner who keeps stalling!
It happens a lot at roundabouts Ive gone sailing out into a roundabout and the engines cut out, lost PAS all together... nightmare!
I have no idea whats causing it tho.....

drive in a straight line, dip the clutch and the revs drop to 200-300rpm then pop back up to idle a second or two later... very very wierd

I got new NGK's in my new engine but one of my leads if fudged so thats the same as one of the plugs not working....
I'll see how she runs when the new leads come

  Storm Grey 200
I get a similar thing, although my car isnt a sport, but i dislike looking like a stalling fool in car parks, lol, i've changed loads of things but nothings working :(

have your emissions checked at the friendly quick fit and look into a lambda sensor thats what solved all my issues .

a part worn from rentech just to prove and will soon replace this with a brand new one :)

well i tried to get over halfway, yesterday after work, sitting in traffic, it went slightly over half way, but as soon as i moved it dropped. could bad spark plugs cause an increase in temp, even if its just slight, yozza? ive already changed the the lambdas, they was probably f**k up by my choked up spark plugs!!! thats what i read of a lambda information site.

well it didnt work, damn it........ because of the nice whether it started to do it again, well could over fuelling cause it it to stall when stoppin then, yozza? my mate did notice that it is kicking out some petrol fume, but it isnt drinking the juice, i still managed to get 40mpg on the motor way the other week. but i havent notice the fan come on lately either, what controls the fan under normal conditions, it comes on with the aircon, is it the coolant temp sensor? or thermostat? what you think yozza or benr

i just thought, it smells like its over fueling on tick over, but when driving it isnt over fueling when driving, because im still managing good mpg, is that possible?

Have you had it plugged into a diagnostic?

Might be worth getting one.

If you start the car leave it idling, then turn it off and check the plugs, are they wet?

got a diagnostics, didnt come up with anything, maybe renaults diagnostics will be more indepth. by the time i took it apart they will be dry, the plugs i took out were all blacked up, and it smell of petrol when ticking over and when it stalls.

well that the next thing to try, checked the emmision canister lastnite to see if that was sticking open, i think it was alrite, well i left the tube off going into the engine and blocked the hole off, and it still stalled, so i dont think its that.

Replaced the coolant temperature sensor, still no good, what about the TDC sensor or the knock sensor? do you think it could be any of these, im running out of ideas

  RS4 480hp,STI 420hp,ELISE
For me it was sorted with a new aux belt and a new 2nd lambdasensor (this was probably causing the stalling)

Is there any mod you did? Or it is just a standard Clio 172 Cup
How many km on clock and have u change the cambelt?

Check the oil level. And what kind of fuel u are using? May try to have professional clean the injector.

Also, have u check the sparkplug?

Coolant Temp Sensor failed? Hence the smell of petrol putting more in when it thinks its cold to stop it cutting out. Done a few of these on RS's.

Same problem still and thats exactly where mine was going

over fuelling and stalling/flooding

spark plugs were black and stunk of petrol

weird horrible sickening smell at tick over in traffic

i changed the lamda and all is ok now

i spent lots throwing money at the fdamn french thing and it was a lamda

ive changed the lambda sensors with new ones, changed the coolant sensor with a new one, tried a different throttle body, changed the spark plugs, helped abit but still doing it, the cars got cat cams, matched inlets, cat back exchaust, sportd cat and a unichip.

Have you ever check this plugs? Or change them? I am sorry I forgot what are they in English.

well the place ive had it done have had it back to check it over, told them its over fueling and blackening the plugs up, but to fair i dont think theyve got a clue, they just said it cant be the mapping, its probably the cams etc...

just changed inlet temp sensor and map sensor, new leads and plugs, still no joy, but i did accidently leave the blank off for the accoustic valve and it did run alot better, but i have just found that me radiator is leaking, could this cause me coolant temp sensor to read a slight higher temp leaning the fuel out.
