    Selling difficulties!!!!

Agreed, but this is why the Ad and price need to get people there.

    Selling difficulties!!!!

I disagree - people will travel for the right car. The only way you're going to get them there is to write a proper advert, keep it clean concise and factual, not a load of drivel. Back that up with a good price and quality, well lit photos and it will sell. I flew from Essex to Edinburgh to...

    Selling difficulties!!!!

Congrats, i've just bought a 300 Trophy as a daily. Lovely car, enjoy.

    Selling difficulties!!!!

Everything sells at the right price. Just sold my 182, (too cheap IMO but you need to ask yourself how long you want to hold onto something for) Fortunately, I didn't even have to write an advert. The car needs to be either exceptional or aggressively priced.

    197 brembo pads?

Just my experience, but I’ve run Pagids forever, usually 29s and every time I try something else, it an instant regret and I end up buying twice.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Didnt have a chance to advertise it mate, I never wrote an advert for it. I was approached by a few people once I suggested it might go and then when the meg arrived it got serious. I had a buyer at me offering a price and we agreed. I'll let them disclose themselves in their own time.

TBH Rob, I was hoping he would see it and not want it. Always a 3rd time.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Well she’s gone - I feel like I’ve just been forced to shoot my favourite animal. 😔 Absolutely brilliant car, never once let me down and gave me so much enjoyment. If the new keeper gets even half as much from it that I have, it’ll likely be the best car he’s ever owned too. End of an era. X

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Well… potentially today is the day she leaves. I’ve felt sick for days thinking about it, but know it’s the right thing to do. There are people in the world with far greater problems than selling a car, but feels like I’m about to have an animal put down! How is it, we are so attached to cars?

Sell as is, or get paintwork done first?

I fear if you go looking for rust, you'll almost certainly find it and could be a massive can of worms. No matter what you spend on paint, you wont get it back so id market it as is mate.

Time for a grown ups car… Alright, it’s a nobby colour but it’s has 4 doors, isofix and not a cage or harnesses in sight. Facelift Megane 300 Trophy Ex Renault UK Press car Liquid Yellow Recaros Trophy R Fujilight wheels and S007 rubber. 640 miles from new. I had it serviced, 4 new tyres...

    Titanium MrBlonde

I’ve driven a 275 Trophy R (some while ago) and a Meg 300 Trophy more recently. I think the big change between the 2 is the massive step up in cabin quality. The Mk4 Meg feels like a much more premium product. Certainly the most premium Renaultsport product I’ve driven. As above though...

If you have the means to keep the Clio and try something else with a small overlap, I’d do that first.

    Titanium MrBlonde

Still looks tidy bro. I’ve no doubt you’ve had this conversation with yourself a lot mate, but what are you looking for from the next car that the Clio doesn’t give you? I had to run a small errand in mine tonight through the lanes out to Bradwell and it hit me so hard just how good it is to...

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Thanks mate. I suspect it won’t sell either. I’ve got a nice mix of people telling me it’s a bargain and others saying it will never sell. I suspect the latter. For those that will ask - I’m looking for £8k as it will break for way more than that without too much drama. (I’ll await the...

Seats, space, usability. It’s just not that kinda vehicle mate with child seats and the like.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Thanks so much Steve. The biggest problem is how do you price it? I can only really go off what it would break for and the insurance value. It’s had an agreed value for the last 4 years of £8k after the insurance company viewed it in person. Clios don’t sell though do they, people want...

Thanks dude, you’re super kind. However she’s just about to clip 170k now, the guys at the Renault dealership didn’t believe me when I said it’s miles. 😅

Still here, still adore the Clio, still my daily driver. Recently had another full service and refreshed the RCK bearings up front again. Still drives absolutely amazing and looks incredible for its 20 years of service. However I went to look at another car yesterday as it’s really proving a...

    Engine Mounts - Opinions please.

Go high quality pattern part like Febi etc. VT are okay but you will get a lot of additional NVH. Some people say they have had no additional NVH, and that may be true. However, in my experience, every time I've used VT or similar on any vehicle, they're not a nice addition to a street car. I...
