    551bhp 197 Cup

As useful as an underwater hairdryer. Cheap for the bits but f**king useless.

    200 Cup brake pad options.

Yes mate i always use RS29s however this last set I've gone up to the RSL2 for a bit more bite. I've run RSL29s in all my cars from my 600bhp Impreza, my MIni GP and the Cayman uses them too. I know they're a bit dearer but last 2 to 3x longer than everything else and you get what you pay for...

ULEZ extension and 182 Compliance ?

I've been paying the ULEZ for a couple of years if i pop into town anyway. I was aware the Clio was EU3 so never even bothered checking online. If you have it in black and white with the date on that says the vehicle is compliant then i dont see how you could ever be fined. Could have saved...

Plastic clip - engine bay - P/N anyone?

That clip will be PIA to the vac line, but should still be available. There are a few webiites that just sell vehicle clips, id try there if no luck at Renault :)

    Stahlbus speed bleeder valves

I’ve since had some alloy pucks turned up and welded onto my sump guard to shim it down about another 10mm. This gives a nice layer of protection that I’m sure will be fine for road use. I wouldn’t run the plug valve for stage rally use.

    Stahlbus speed bleeder valves

I live in an area where I drive a lot of undulating lanes every day. So a sump guard was always up there as an addition to when I lowered it. Same reason I removed my genuine cup splitter… it was only a matter of time. 😅

    Stahlbus speed bleeder valves

(Apologies for the slight off topic) Rob, I run a full PMS sump guard that I still had to modify to house the drain plug. I wouldn’t fancy running one without a guard covering it.

    Mud Flaps ?

Not mudflaps as such but I run small Kaylan stone guards up front to save a lot of rash down the side of the car. They can barely be seen most of the time.

    Stahlbus speed bleeder valves

I use Castrol SRF in both the Clio and Cayman, great stuff. My oil check valve has been good so far. :)

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

MOT day and the shitbox gets another year of play time with zero advisories. Quote Mr MOT man “it’s like brand new under there”. Why thank you sir. ;)

I do give them a proper s**t life. Rain, snow, salt the lot as well as track use. I do pack the tops with grease to act as a barrier to keep the majority of s**t out.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Wow, I’ve just looked and even I’m surprised. They were fitted on 123k and I’ve just clocked 153k so 20,000 miles! I think I’m future I’ll be swapping them out every 15k though.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Yes mate. Cheap as chips. They’re exactly the same items as previously fitted. I’d like to upgrade to some stainless ones if possible and add some dust boots.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

When Alex had the car this week he noticed there was some play in my OS bottom ball joint. These are spherical bearings as part of my roll centre kit. As you all know, my car is my daily driver which covers 250mls+ a week in all seasons and all weathers. So the exposed bearings really do take...

    Rush Car Magazine

You know that a really slick looking publication and a nice refreshing read compared to the usual run of the mill hypercar and EV babble. Well done to all involved :) Even a Cayman R in there too.

Mines had a tiny weep for a bit but wasn’t actually dropping oil due to my sump guard.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Putting the oem cat back in on my PMS has been a game changer for me. I’ve always loved it but lately got bored of having a noisy car. It’s like having a whole new motor. 😅

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Just back from Alex at AWM after it needing a bit of love after developing an oil leak around the sump again. This was done last in 2019 when i bought the car back, but after after a bit of head scratching it was decided to give it a whole new sump and gasket etc. Alex also fixed a small coolant...

    15" Ultraleggera with 4pot calipers

Not sure where youre based but is there a local Clio group where you could put out a "wanted" post to see if someone has an Ultraleggera you could just test fit? Maybe even email OZ in Italy to see if they can send you a template you can print, cut out and test fit?

Fred and James’ Clio 182 Racecar Project

Great updates as always chaps. My PMS is silent but its taken a lot of work to get it there but im very interested in the prospect of a quality shifter thats silent out of the box without the need to add mass to the shift tube etc. Keep me posted if you explore this avenue please. :)

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Thanks mate. Amazing that photos hide a multitude of sins. The car is actually filthy here as I’ve had a downpour for the last few days. Clean wheels make it all look clean haha. Silver wheels change it so much.

Frayz's Inferno 182 - Back in the old flame

Need to take some decent pics when the cars clean, but had 4 new PS3s fitted to the silvers today. Like driving a Rolls Royce compared to R888Rs. 😅
