Cheers buddy!
Yeah I love the bullets the colours work really well with the arctic blue and the anthracite!!
I was never a huge fan of the de wipered look myself until I saw the carbon blanks going around took me a while to source Chris but found him on here eventually nice chap and will I'm...
Bought a lovely pair of leather reupholstered Sparco Speed 2's from a good friend of mine @Martin.
OMP Frames
Loose fitted it all to see how it looked
Because of the way the frame is bolted through the underside of the car I wanted to make pulling the seat out as fast as...
Simon@SprayShack did an awesome job on these there was a delay but was worth the wait! First chance I've had to post pics up and say job well done thanks!
Carbon wiper blank from chris powell again thanks this is a work of art.
Few bits and pieces I've bought and fitted and/ or awaiting to fit...
Really comes together in the sun,
Sabelt wheel!!! Bloody love these! Not currently fitted not got around to it yet. I've sourced a ph1 horn stalk to also accompany this along with an OMP boss
There's been a lack of updates for a while due to mass of exams, revision, work, partying (getting a upper second BEng Degree) and formula student! Just not enough time in the day to do everything!!! Will try and get a couple of pics of the bits and bobs I've been up to, the real interesting...
Yeah man I know how it is haha! Especially seeing as tho you can't tinker with the iFour11! Must be hard for you! I'm still out of work sadly still do the odd weekend with Optimum but the money is nothing special so my "build" has slowed down haven't even updated my thread for a while not that I...
Formula Student Clio?
haha in all seriousness it's looking epic mate! Hectic at work you clearly have too much time on your hands! Jealous of the bay work loving it mate! Safe to say I won't be on the pace with this (driver skill irrelevant lol) seen you in a kart tehe :rasp:
I honestly wouldn't know could have been one of the eBay £20 specials for all I know haha it did feel pretty precise I must admit tho just felt shorter throw in comp with the PMS maybe the extra length was just deceiving and I was told the short throw ones can rush the gears when going though em...
Hey up mate,
Tbh I couldn't be a 100% it was, as I didn't fit it, was just told that its what was on the car. If the yanoo kit doesn't shorten the throw I've been mis informed somewhere, I don't know much about them.
The PMS I do on the other hand, and I love it :rasp:
PMS is priceless I've used both and there is no comparison the engineering is second to none on the PMS and isn't a "short" throw shifter so doesn't rush the syncros but gives solid precise gear changes. I use mine everyday on the road and on track. Can't fault it!
Unless he's saying it's the weight of the bar underneath the tower? That's going forward?
what a weird one.
edit: read your post too quickly yeah the bar under the car
Weird how under braking it falls backwards from third. Id imagine if this was at all possible from braking it would be from fourth to neutral?
If it's popping out of gear for whatever reason it's not in gear properly so it's not set up properly. Mine use to pop out of reverse if I accelerated...
Did my first track day at Bedford Autodrome on the 15th and was absolutely fantastic! One of the best days of my life! I've been a Motorsport Track side mechanic for nearly 2 years now and been all over the world to different tracks and events working but for the first time I actually got to rag...
Sorry for the lack of updates been a busy chap combining uni with work is not easy!! It's like having two full time jobs!
Anyway...removed the carbon canister quite gladly actually as upon further inspection it was full of bloody water! So no idea if that was misting lovely water vapour into...
I have one on my 182 and it's simply incredible. I use my car as a commuter and on the track and it's been nothing but flawless. It was so precise when I fitted it, that it highlighted a lot of gearbox movement so swiftly fitted poly mounts. And it's just a pleasure to use. Everyone who's driven...
yeah noticed when we all parked up briefly it was staring at me looking sorry for itself seeing all these lovely clios carouseling past it haha I dont think it had been left on bricks so to speak looked like someone was breaking it...badly haha
Yeah wasn't sure it being a 172 even a ph2 whether it was twisted or not as that's the only model I have yet to have worked on lol cheers for the clarification Alex. Helicoil it is then mate. Just don't sponge out and buy a cheap one as realistically once you've drilled the thread out to tap for...
That bracket the attaches to the gearbox is a right PITA to get off whilst the gearbox is in too unless... Is your dog bone mount the twisted type one like the 182's? Where the bolt threads into the actual case? Or like the 172 ph1's where there is a separate bracket on the box with welded nuts on?
