To be honest this was going to happen irrespective of the incident at Oulton, this was always on my radar to do however truth be told I wouldn't have done it so soon.
Thanks. Its not cheap however it will be how I want the car. (y)
I can't wait either. Alex now has the shell and I believe all the parts, so just a case of putting it all back together.
I'm so pleased with it, helps so much knowing Alex understands the desired outcome.
Although I've had engaged someone to complete all my work unlike you, as I don't have...
Since I first got the car this was always on my radar and now felt like the right time to get it how I've always wanted.
Thanks. I can't wait to get it back.
It'll still be a track car, although it may be treated to a year off...
TBF I just love clean track cars.
This is a long term...
December 2021 - Can't wait to get it back...
Alex from AW Motorworks has been amazing at providing updates once progress has been made, I think all going well we are planning on getting the car back sometime in January.
Firstly a quick pic of the sill on the passenger side, they weren't...
I can't actually remember the name, however speak to Alex as he's arranged this whole project.
No, I think the correct term is balls deep!
Thanks, should all be back up and running mid January and I can't wait.
Cheers, I honestly cant' wait for it to be done.
Alex really understands my requirements so will be good to see it once complete.
Its looked pretty good, but I know if I don't do it now I would have let it rot to the ground. The fuel filler cap wasn't great.
Its something I've always...
November 2021 - Things get serious...
Firstly following the incident at Oulton Park I needed to get my Red 2118's refurbished as one got particularly damaged, to be honest I would have got them refurbished this winter anyhow so not the end of the world. Any way I got them done, I've not yet...
I have thought about flocking so many times however, I think I would want to the lower section flocked also.
Stopping the glare was one of the main benefits...
However @frayz has hit the nail on the head, I've looked at a lot of flocked dashes and I think I would end up wanting to get it...
Thanks, although I'm still not to your level of write ups!
Its a VP Racing one. Can get it them from ECP for good value when discounts are good. NB its empty in the pic!
Anglesey Circuit (International & Coastal)
The car was ready for Anglesey and I couldn't wait to get out on track again, I've not been on track as much as I would have liked over the past two years but hopefully 2022 can be back to "normal"! This was my first time at Anglesey. Its a great...
Late September 2020 - Continued
I then had a few weeks before a track day at Anglesey so I just wanted to clean a few items before the long journey. Firstly I took a pic of the Pole Position, I must admit I know these seat are expensive but its so comfortable, I drop the whole way to...
Late September 2020
I've been a bit behind on update, due to life! However I'll try and bring up-to-date.
After I got the car back up and running I had a few small jobs to get the car ready for the CS breakfast meet and a big trip to Anglesey for a trackday.
Firstly I had the "easy" job of...
HPAS without doubt gives a better feel.
However I run EPAS on mine for the many reasons listed above. It still feel great to drive and I'm pleased I did it.
I'm currently running 2118's with an ET38 and running a slip on 10mm spacer at the front and 75mm all round. The rears do have additional thread on show therefore when replacing I will go 75mm front & 68mm rear.
I have a Pro-Am kit fitted to my Clio 182 and I love the difference it made to the turn in. I had it fitted at the same time I had my diff fitted so felt a real difference.
My only advice would to only buy brand new kits, to ensure all correct parts are used etc. I think if you search roll...
I've only ever run OEM, GAZ GHA's and AST4100's and I must say the AST's have been amazing. So much more comfortable on the road than the GAZ and I've been able to get them perfect for every occasion.
