Right thats the last part of the puzzle, all the pieces have arrived, now just need to find time when a mate has his ramp free to go and fit it all.
Helet harness has arrived, trailed a temporary fit.
This location will be changed to the cage I would have thought once...

Few bits and pieces arrived:
Got a cost on the cage being painted for £48 and will be done in around a week or so :)
Ducts fitted
Not overly keen on the fog lights colour think its a bit much so I asked a mate to photoshop them black so I could see if it looks...

Few updates on this as its been a while, lost the lights on a long drive back at night so had to use the side lights and fog lights, however after checking the fuses today I noticed that one of the relays had been knocked out, after refitting it resolved the light issue.
So to...

I purchased this wrap for a few quid off eBay, as I was thinking I might wrap a couple of sections of the yellow roll cage, will trial it anyway to see what it looks like:
Might look a bit odd but we'll see as I said its only a few quid.
Received confirmation that my roll cage...

As the cage has been ordered and will be powder coated yellow, I decided today to paint the callipers yellow to match, as I don't think I will buy a spare pair for a while to have powder coated.
Gave the car a wash as it hadn't had one for a while:
Before...

Replacement front shocks, genuine Renualt ones:
I have also ordered a cage which is due next Tuesday Anybody have an idea of cost to have a half cage sprayed? And can anyone recommend anyone?
Also going to order a second set of front standard second hand calipers which I will...

Few more parts have arrived, large washer to stop the dreaded knocking from the top mounts, eibach pro line springs front and rear and some bushes
Next up replacement front shocks £70 and replacement lower arms with new bushes £100.

Okay so promised photo of tow strap fitted
So removed the frame from the seat, quick photo showing the difference between them
Drilled holes for the side harness straps
I still need to get to the underside and fit the plates but they need adapting slightly in order...

Right then been a long time coming, but pay day arrived and i treated myself to you a few new bits and pieces
Seat was £165 delivered and the harness £114 delivered sub frame I had already purchased for £40.
So on to the fitting, I cut holes in the rear floor mat for the...
Yeah they do sit pretty high, but they are setup that way, to start messing with the ride height is to completely undo all the setting up that was done when they where first designed, tbh in the flesh they don't appear to look as high as in the photo.

So I finally sorted a drill out and have now relocated the battery to the boot :)
Had to cut the part slightly but worked out nicely
Ready to do the oil change tomorrow, had to order a sump plug tool which is due in the morning.
Suppose to be having the tracking...

Steering wheel received and fitted this evening, got for £152 delivered as part as a group buy:
Wheel is fantastic and I would recommend to all, next stop bucket seat and harness.
19/05/2015
A little more movement on the Cup, replaced the front Skoda front splitter for an OEM one.
Started sorting out the cables for the battery:
Will the location of the earth cable be adequate?
Just the drill required now in order to bolt the cut out and battery...

Smallest update ever, lugs for the power cable have arrived.
Just need to borrow / buy a drill so that I can mount all the parts. Next week should have it all fitted. Frustratingly the Corbeau Club Sport bucket seats are out of stock so might be a couple of weeks before I can get...
In all honesty not a lot, the battery weights a lot and just spreads the weight more evenly throughout the car, in all honesty just getting a smaller race battery and locating it under the seat is the better option however it worked out more expensive than this option.

Okay so the battery tray arrived this morning,
I have made a start with setting up re-locting the battery to the rear, I think it will be going in this location which is pretty much dead centre of the car.
I removed the battery and fed the power lead through:
Its a bit of a...
Right well with the big push to get the Puma ready for next weekends meet I haven't done much on the Cup, I have however received a few items that I purchased
Power lead arrived also ordered the battery tray :) Almost all the parts arrived require to relocate the battery to the spare...
No buddy I haven't trial fitted them as yet, I have got the blank washers which I will probably end up fitting, but I will still trial them and take some photos for you.
Yeah I cannot help myself on that front, however its time I have spare so nice to keep i clean  Also use it to potter about in.
Yeah the achilles heel of the FRP the power, however on a country road up to speed, cornering speed is ridiculous.
The hole in which the lower ball joint slides in to was more oval than round in the one the I removed thus allowing the movement creating the terrible driving experience.
16/04/2015
After using the car for a while now the car felt disjointed and felt as though it was waving from side to side under hard acceleration, in fact it felt pretty bad and gave me no confidence when driving it hard.
I went to get the tracking sorted by a friend who works on the Cup race...
13/04/2015
Finally got round to replacing the drivers side spring, obviously made the car feel so much better, however still facing some issues with feel through the steering wheel, off to get the tracking sorted which will hopefully resolve the issue.
Removed the broken bugger:
Its about balancing the weight more evenly across the car, as I wrote on another page, its all a bit of nothing for my level, however more space in the engine bay for when s**t goes wrong can only be a good thing. In addition it will cost about £50. If it was much more I probably wouldn't bother.
09/04/2015
Not much done lately, I have however sourced a OEM front splitter for just £20 delivered, slight crack and can see where it has been repaired previously but once fitted I much prefer them compared to the cheap Skoda alternative:
You won't be able to see the track once fitted :)...
The bumper inner arch part has two screws which screw to the bottom of the bumper, you will see them when lying under the car, you can leave these in position and just make a cut in the soft rubber splitter so that it does not cover them. You should see what I mean when you look underneath.
29/03/2015
Some replacement arch liner plugs arrived, just £1.99 for ten off eBay.
Sorted out the god awful negative battery terminal, some pretty cool fixings for just £3 for both again off eBay.
Fitted the replacement heat shield after about an hour and half, couldn't fit from the top...

Another thing that was bugging me is the fuel cap does not sit flush with the body work, I had a look on...
