I had a few moments. Twice at McIntyre and once after the chicane. Good fun though. And when I did go a bit sideways at the gravel the diff made the difference in pulling the car straight.
I am fining there is a bit too much understeer compared to the previous car. Not sure what to change...
Tonight at knockhill? I didn’t see you there.
Had my first go in the new car on track. Loved the van. My mate is about to build one from my old clio.

Good stuff. Less hassle for you and hopefully makes a decent car when done.
BTW I’m a hypocrite. I’ve started breaking up my 182 so my mate can build a kangoo 182

Arrived safely tonight at 7:30. Car is super clean for a hillclimb car and feels very sorted. Had a short drive from my unit where the car was delivered round to my house. Feels very different to my current clio but it a good way.
I’ve got a 1 year old that seems to love cars just now. She had...
What a journey this thread has taken Graham. Sounds like you had a good send off with the car at an excellent event.
I hope it’s not too much of a shock to the system when M100CUP next competes at Forrestburn on 25th August. I’ll definitely get a thread started and make sure everyone that has...
I went with the well trodden OEM+ look with a black gold. I still have the car but it’s not been put into more of a track day car.
I loved how it looked but I think it was just the wrong clio to put that kind of stuff on. If it was more sound mechanically and a bit nicer then it would have...
Competing at all this year Graham. I’ve done 3 events so far in the Scottish series. Kames sprint twice and Forrestburn last weekend.
Considering doing either three sisters sprint or harewood hillclimb in the XBC in September. Have you done either. Maybe a bit far north for you mind.
I’ve...
I might be interested in a few weeks once the mini is collected. Your a fair distance away though. I’ll let you know.

Looks a decent car.
I’ve just sold one of my classic minis (pending collection) and considering getting a good road going clio with some of the money.
Going to miss the wee guy but never drive it.

Getting read for my first event this weekend.
Just before my last event I spotted one of the rear shocks was leaking. Rather than spend a fortune on coil overs I decided to got with new cup shocks all round for now.
Out with the old.
In with the new.
I’ve also spotted a split CV...
Looks really nice mate.
Stuff like this makes me hate myself for buying a new car. I should be buying up older hot hatches and making them nice.

I would try it with the diff first before messing with the suspension.
Like you said in other videos it’s difficult to predict how the back end is going to behave with the open diff. Should be more predictable with the LSD.

One of the many reasons a new car makes so much sense.
M140 new comes with 4 new matching tyres and 3 years free servicing.

Thanks. I’m going to make a timing strut. Shouldn’t be an issue.
As for tow points. I noticed the refs say they shout be clearly marked. Fine for the front. What do people do for the rear on a phase 2 182.
