My Clio has decided to start blowing cold air on my feet (drivers side only, passenger is fine), constantly. Even when the heating is set to warm and I'm getting warm air everywhere else in the car, my feet are getting cold air. It doesn't matter what setting the heater unit is on and where the...
Awesome thanks. Pure Motorsport offer a complete kit as well but it's fairly new to market so not sure if anyone has tried it yet and probably a similar cost to KTEC. Interesting that they're aren't many companies offering complete kits though.
Spent nearly 2 hours reading through all of this on the weekend on a train, amazing thread! Seems a shame that TDF are only working B2B now. What are the options these days for ITBs? Is there a go to company that people use?
That's really helpful thanks. Just spoke to Terry at Two Techs who mentioned it may also be because I didn't give them Type D coolant when it was changed in November. Apparently you should only ever run Type D coolant and these cars aren't keen on water-mixed solutions, so I'll be picking some...
Might be a stupid question, but would you recommend changing the thermostat at the same time as the coolant if you need to break the seal?
Another potentially stupid question, can this all be done from above or does the car need to be on axle stands and accessed from below? Thanks!
I was out at Silverstone on Sunday, and was running my 182 for just under two hours solid. I popped the bonnet at the end and my coolant (which was changed in November) had gone from a lovely vibrant pink to a very dark brown/black colour. No overheating issues or cream on the oil cap to...
I can massively recommend Two Techs in Dartford. They changed my belts and dephaser in November last year, and she's still going strong. Fantastic service from a really enthusiastic team who are passionate about our cars. Was back there again today for a service and suspension setup/wheel...
I've just bought a set of Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2s and wrapped them in Avon ZZRs, 195/50/15. I'm having a -2 camber set up done at the moment, with 10 minutes toe out. Getting her out at Silverstone this Sunday for a play at the PistonHeads Sunday Service.
Can anyone recommend what sort of...
Hi all,
I've got a 182 Trophy and I'm looking to get a set of Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2s with R888s for track use. I have to admit I know absolutely nothing about wheels, other than lots of people telling me I should run 15s.
Can anyone tell me what size I should get? Is it standard for the...
Cheers guys! He's spoken to a specialist and I think he's going to go and get the timing checked on it. He did have a new dephaser fitted, so shouldn't be an issue with that. Turns out he does have both lamda sensors and the rear one is new, so other option is it could be the front. Will see how...
He's just been having a look and the garage replaced the lamda sensor behind the cat when it went back, so can't be that. Apparently he can't see a sensor in front of the cat, but I would have thought that'd be standard on all?
It only happens once the car has warmed up, not when cold, so I...
Fantastic read, very inspiring. I've just taken my Sachs off for a refurb with BG and need a new set of springs. Would you recommend Mark Fish? Tried them on circuit yet? Hoping I'm going to have my Sachs back in time for the Renaultsport track day at Oulton next month.
I paid £4250 for a Trophy last month with 74K on the clock and in great condition, so with 100K on the clock that's overpriced (although I do feel I got a steal). Definitely wouldn't pay £5K for a Cup though.
Here's a few snaps I got on the weekend while I was up in Rhayader in Wales. I work at PistonHeads and I'm going to be writing about the car on there too in PH Fleet, so here's the first article that went up today...
