I think people are using the models Pilot Exalto 2 and Pilot Sport 3 pretty much interchangeably, as if they are one and the same.
I am not aware of anyone (on the web anyway) that offer PE2s any more.
My Tyres had them a couple of months back but seemed to be charging a premium for them.
I think the Michelin thing was when the cars were newer and a little more valuable and people were being "precious" about the tyres, although they are the best tyre for the car without a doubt.
Stick a full set of Hankook V12s on. They will also bear new DOT (date of manufacture) codes which...
To be honest, I don't race at all (other than amateur karting)! I have had a few decent road cars though and steering feel is a big issue for me in relation to car handling.
On a pretty much back to back test between PE2s and Rainsport 2s fitted to the front of my Trophy, the 6-year old PE2 with only around 2mm had nice steering weight and feel immediately either side of centre.
I tried the Rainsports for a couple of weeks. They had been on the back of the car for...

Making up a claim is fraud which is a criminal offence.
I hope if one of your (or indeed my) car(s) gets hit and the driver drives off, we give them a round of applause because that is the equivalent of what some people here are...
Uniroyal Rainsport - staggeringly good tyre. Bit of a "best kept secret" I think. Came second in the EVO test (beat the Pilot Exalto PE2 to fifth) and I have had them in the past so have actually tried them.
