Unlike many other cars like saxo's I heard cda will just cost you power on a clio. Cup spoiler is a must. I gotta repaint mine as I went a bit mental with the machine polisher :D

Also at such low speeds the lorry drafting effect only has about a 3-4mpg advantage imo as you just aren't going that fast for aero to have a huge affect. Obviously if theres a decent wind its a different story.

Well my first trial journey to work with the cruise control I did a 51.7mpg average including stopping at services and blasting off the slip road and about 4-5 blasts coming off roundabouts. I have an 80 mile or so journey every 4 days or so. So it makes sense to me to get the best possible mpg as the job pays most of the fuel.

Blimey I think if I had a cage like that I'd puposefully roll the car just because it would seem rude not to!

Just need to keep rolling to maintain good mpg thats the real trick to it and also on motorways to keep below 70 (which at 70 I still get about 44-45mpg)

I get approx 58mpg if I sit with the cruise on at 56mph :D More now I've got better tyres and also if I draft behind lorries :D

Theres not a huge amount of difference between wrx and clio's straightline either.

I can easily get over 50mpg in my 172 out of town and even with my best ass hole drivinf I rarely get below 37!

Im round thetford way when im working which is pretty handy as 15 mins to snetterton is much better than at least an hour to brands hatch from where I live.

As I have a 172 what do I need to do just purchase one off a 172 owner and then pay to have it unlocked and for a map (as my car will have panel filter and catted ktec exhaust)

As Mr Tom said I think I remember reading somewhere that you have to scrape out the paint where the wheel bolts go or they come loose. Im sure a google search would bring up some results as I've read it a lot on many forums.

Sort of. I've not driven a hatchback that could handle as well apart from maybe the 200 cup and the current 172 is nowhere near to it when it comes to corners. Im thinking maybe AP racing coilovers might sort it out a bit.

You could quite easily sand them back. Only problem is having to respray the whole wheel again.
