Would you get fairly high insurance hikes as well - 'modding' a dCi 65 to a 100 spec?
Wouldn't it work out cheaper selling the 65 and be on the hunt for a replacement 100 outright?
Tried the aircon - fan immediately kicked in - and back off again once switched off. So that's clearly working.
I believe there are two modes for the fan, is that true? Low and high speed?
I've got some recent OBD logs - so I'll check out the temp on those as per @Brigsy 's suggestion too...
Bit of a random post, but in all the years of ownership, I don't think I've ever heard the radiator fan kick in? Even when I was sat in queuing traffic on the motorway years ago and it was low 30C weather outside.
It did cross my mind that the fan could be broken perhaps? It does spin fine if I...
Tbf, my NXZT fan controller was a revelation in terms of fan control. I was also getting a bit frustrated in running fan cables up and around and behind the mobo - just to connect into a header that was in some far flung corner.
Granted, having to have a PSU cable with a SATA connection just to...
So, on the day of release of the Jade Shadows quest - the 'end' might actually be in sight.
Managed to trigger the final MR30 test (which upon completion is the final achievement for me) and had a practice run at it. Having watched no YouTube videos about what is required, I managed to wing...
If you're blobbing infantry (creating large groups of them) - they can take an age to get to the front line. Try to use transport vehicles if your current faction offers them but be warned, they are extremely vulnerable to attack.
Definitely hit the retreat key often - a reinforced veteran unit...
Thanks for that Andy.
So, from a technical perspective in terms of utilising VRAM, is spanning multiple cards also a bit of a hardware bottleneck?
Using my epic man-maths, the 8Pack system would have a total of 168GB of VRAM within it, spread over the seven cards. If you had a complete render...
@SharkyUK - I know the 8Pack system builds have been out for years, but would they necessarily be good for your area of work?

Just thinking where else a stack of seven 4090 cards, would...
I wonder if that article has been followed up with comments from flat-earth inbreds that state the ice wall cannot be surmounted - and that such news is all NASA 'lies', once more?
Never did mate. Debating just cutting the fecking thing off.
Despite all common sense and advice - I am tempted to give it one more try with the impact tool once I've drowned the bolt in freeing agent. Probably with make no difference other than to increase my frustration!
Though welding a nut...
Yep - exactly that.
From memory - you use a USB-A to USB-B cable when the pedal base isn't connected directly to the wheel hub.
When connected to the wheel hub, the firmware for the pedal base cannot be updated within the Fanatec software. It can only be done via USB.
I've connected both...
Load cell pedal - makes a world of difference for braking. You simply shift the existing brake pedal to be the clutch then.
A bit of rewiring needed (unclip here - clip in there) but all pretty self-explanatory. As mentioned previously, DO NOT connect the pedal base into the rear of the wheel...
They should be. As you say, you might have used the incorrect screws on this.
You can also get little rubber sections for fans which help reduce vibration. They were a worthwhile purchase on the replacement rad fans that I bought recently.
If it any consolation - I've built PCs for decades and still get caught out occasionally by something not immediately working.
The golden rule is to put everything together in the most loose way possible and ensure that it works first. Once done, you can then spend time on the tidying up of...
To be expected really - next year will see the 20th anniversary of the last 182s made. It's difficult to justify the expense for most people on a small French hatch. There will be minters out there of course - or ones that have had a lot of time and effort spent on them.
I personally think...
Seems locked at 71fps on my PC at 1440 - regardless of what happens onscreen.
I assume that there may have been some mods previously that allowed it to go higher?
Speaking of frame-rate - I had a strange one on PGA 2K23 recently. It sits at 144fps throughout, but despite that, appeared...
Ah, no worries - it certainly won't be a slouch in any sense.
I've got the AM4-based Ryzen 7 5800X3D, paired with 64GB DDR4 (a bit silly and overkill - I certainly don't use all of that) and an RTX3090.
I've got two NVMe drives - 1x 2TB PCIe 4.0 and 1x 1TB PCIe 3.0. I install games on both...
Quite the opposite really.
Just get the biggest and best NVMe drive you can and chuck the lot on. The established commercial benefits of having a smallish server OS drive and then having a large drive for apps or log files makes sense. But in a home environment - not so much. Unless you're...
I did some speed comparisons in the post below.

The PCIe x4 drive is certainly quicker - and I'd recommend getting that, if your mobo supports it.
